I know the monorail is open but did they open the mail entrance as well?

Just left 2 hours ago. No, the lower level is still undergoing work/behind fences. No construction expert, but seems a week or two away if I had to guess.

Could you tell if they were putting the water back in? I loved the ponds and waterfalls near the entrance. CMs said that was what they were working on, but I'm only cautiously optimistic that this is true until I actually see it.

I haven't seen it personally but there are photos out of a water feature hidden behind the work walls, so it's back in some form.

Here’s a pic from one side (looking down from the monorail platform). There’s a similar setup on the other side. So the same/very similar to what was there before. Pic was from a couple of days ago.

A front desk CM told us yesterday that it might open Friday. Unofficial of course as their answer is usually “before October 1st.” I’m here till Sunday so I hope he’s right.

Does the new entrance look any different or was it mostly a rebuild to repair areas that had worn out?

Complete Redo, they tore everything out to the ground and rebuilt everything except the existing monorail track. It was reimagined, so it looks a different, but it's not a major departure from what it used to look like.
