Anyone ever been? How is the food (specifically dinner for PC)?

We always walk in thinking we are going to eat there and then we just walk right out....the food in the heated cases looks old, the place is always empty and the teeny cupcakes look dry and are super expensive

I tried a cupcake top from Babycakes and was not a fan. Very dry and the frosting had a strange consistency.

My DD and I had the Brownie cupcakes twice last month. We can't have the Ghiradelli ice cream with the rest of our group and were pretty happy that the cupcakes were there. They are gluten free/dairy free, so no, probably no what you are going to get at your mainstream bakery, but we thought they were perfectly great :)

Haven't eaten at PC though.

Baby Cakes NY is not intended for the general public. But if you are vegan or require gluten-free or have just about any food allergy you can walk in and safely get anything they sell.

In case you didn't know, ALL of Babycake's offerings are vegan and gluten free and I do not think they provide non-vegan alternatives at all. If you are looking for "regular" baked goods, there's nobody in your party with food allergies, and you are not really interested in trying a "healthier" alternative, you may want to look elsewhere.

I was going to say the same thing about Babycakes...my daughter has a milk and wheat allergy and she was in heaven with the treats. We will be sure to make another stop there on our next trip!

Thank you all for the clarification! I really didn't know its targeted customers were vegans/people with allergies...great concept, but doesn't apply to me. I probably would be one of the people complaining about how dry/tasteless the cupcakes are  Thanks again :goodvibes:

I didn't know that about Babycakes either ... thanks for the heads up!

We have a Pollo Campero here locally. We have dined there once. It was ok. With such other outstanding QS in DD, I can't IMAGINE eating there while on vacation. I would be heading straight for EOS or WPE!!

Thank you! I'm trying to get ADRs for a sit-down restaurant at the moment, but if I have no luck, we'll be going to EOS :goodvibes
