POLL: WWYD? Doing both MVMCP and Jollywood Nights...split them up or do them back to back nights?

Hello! After all the Christmas announcements last week, I booked a quick trip down 12/16-12/20 and plan to do both parties!

It will just be me and DD20 and we will be at BWV. Tickets go on sale in a couple days and I can't decide if we should split up the late nights or plan to do both parties the last two nights?

Our options for Jollywood Nights are 12/16 (our first night), or 12/18, and MVMCP options are 12/17 and 12/19.

In some ways, it seems to make sense to split them up but then I think maybe if we did Jollywood Nights on 12/18, we could sleep in on 12/19 and stay up late again for MVMCP. Our flight home on 12/20 doesn't leave until 5:30 pm so we could also sleep in a bit on that last day.

What are you all doing if you're going to both? Just trying to get some thoughts on this so I'm ready to go on Thursday! Thanks!

I'm planning on doing them back to back - MVMCP on 12/5 and Jollywood on 12/6. It's at the start of our trip and I'm doing it that way as I think those dates will be a smidge less busy than our later available dates and it also leaves us more time to fit in another chance should bad weather ruin the nights. It will be an amazing festive start to our trip too!

We normally rope drop at the start of a holiday so this will be a change for us but we've got a couple of days at Universal first so I'll just have to get my early morning fix there!

I would opt not to do your first night (travel day). Thus either way will be back to back, right? I'd pick whichever order makes your heart the happiest.

I agree with PP, I would not do a party on your first night, plus I wouldn't want to go to a party on a Saturday (which, I believe, is 12/16). I think I would do 12/17 and 12/18 - that way you have all day 12/19 to sleep in, do another park, etc. I'm assuming check-out is 11 am on 12/20? If so, I wouldn't want to be out too late the night before in case you need to pack?

I had been thinking of this myself! If the weather is bad on 12/18 and/or 12/19, we kind of lose our shot at another chance!

I kind of omitted that I think based on the flights, we might head down and stay at POP on 12/15, so technically, 12/16 won't be a travel day.

That's a good thought, though we are going to try and just do carry-ons so packing shouldn't take us too, too long. Plus, "sleeping in" for me would be 8-8:30 if I'm lucky! I'd still have a couple hours to vacate the room

I didn’t know about the meet up…we fly in on Sat 2nd evening so I’ve been cursing the early closing time! Can’t wait for our festive holidays.

We’re flying in the from the UK and the airline only does one flight a day since covid so we wouldn’t get in early enough - which is probably a good thing as it saves me yet more money on party tickets!
