C) Personal preference.

Hello!

I love Keens!

I have looked at Tevas but I find the Keens to be sturdier.

They are very comfortable and very durable.

I'm currently testing Tevas and Croc knock-offs. Just got my Teva Mush flip-flips last weekend after recommendations on this board. We've had a cold snap this week so I won't be able to really try them out until this weekend when we're back in the 70s.

I do feel that I gave my Croc knock-offs the ultimate test by wearing them on a 3+ mile powerwalk that included some rocky/gravely areas. My feet didn't durt during or after the walk...like others have said, it did feel like walking on air because the bottom is so pillowy and the show itself is soooo light. I am very physically active...powerwalker, run races, hit different equipment at the gym daily...and have always been in Nikes...but never figured out why they give me blisters or hot spots. I'll be ditching them in favor of my croc knock-offs and hopefully my Tevas will prove as useful. Also bought a pair of slip on Merrils at TJ Maxx. They are very comfy and I'll take them on another test drive before I decide to pack them or not.

Thanks for replying.

1 PV (personal vote) for Keens, 0 PV for Tevas, 0 for Crocs, and I'm guessing 1 PV for Can't choose.

I love my Crocs. No knock offs because I can't find them small enough. I need a woman's XS. I have osteoarthritis and fibromyalgia and usually after a day of teaching I am home in bed for the rest of the day because of the pain in my knees and hips. not since I started wearing Crocs. I am no lonmger taking mega doeses of Aleve and Relafen. In fact I am not taking the Relafen.

Wow, Talking Hands. What an endorsement!

Thanks for replying!

Tevas dont have enough support for my husband or I. I would get a pain in my foot arch if I wore them too long. I went with Reef sandals for a long time, and he just tried Merrills which he likes much better. I havent tried Keens, but so far live in my Crocs (and Im 30 weeks pregnant). I have several pairs of Birks too, but have yet to wear them since buying Crocs. They are so lightweight, comfy and easy to clean. No break in period and no blisters either!

Teva Pretty Rugged Leather with the nylon version a close second!

They are SO comfy. No more blisters. Not all Tevas or feet are alike though.

I think their flip flop is comfy for a change only during the evening or to the pool but not for all day walking. I felt the start of a blister when I wore the Teva flip flops after a long day at the parks, while walking to and from Beaches at the BC. So they are only worn briefly in the evenings or to the pool for me.

Also, not on the list but I LOVE; my Ecco Cosmos! Like walking on clouds and NO break in time.

Thanks, beattyfamily. I take it you stayed at BC/YC?

I didn't on the trip where I started to get a blister wearing the Teva flip flops, but I did stay there in October and loved it!

I was staying at the BWV when we went to Beaches.

It's weird because at first the flip flops feel so comfy like walking on pillows but then I started to get a hot spot on my baby toe. It might just be me whose not good with flip flops. I know many LOVE Teva flip flops, but they aren't good for all day walking for me.

I am now down to just 2 Aleve per day and nothing else for pain. And I'm up to 4 pairs of Crocs. Next I want a couple of pairs of the sandals

Thanks, Talking Hands!! The power of good shoes amazes me!

I see now ::yes::. I'm no good for long segments of time in flip flops either!!

Great thread. I bought a pair of Crocs Thursday to wear around the house to see if I like them. I think I am taking them back though. The bottom is comfy but I have found that I do sweat in them. Not a lot but enough to be uncomfortable. And if I'm sweating in my AC'ed house, how bad will it be in WDW in July??!! Yikes. I tried on the Teva Spoiler II's at Rack Room and found them quite comfy but didn't have the $50 to shell out at the time (I got the croc's from Dillard on my Dillard card  ). I have never heard of Keen's.
