Just wondering what everyone thinks? I think summerhouse has the better cookie the lemon one is so good!

I didn't vote because I haven't tried a Summerhouse cookie yet (I do like several Gideon's varieties), but we had the Summerhouse Blondie and it was amazing! Yummmmm!

I might try some of Summerhouse's cookies next time we visit, but I'll be torn between trying a cookie and getting the Blondie again. I'm thinking I might have a Blondie with our meal and then get some cookies to go at the cookie bar. Problem Solved.
:D

I didn't vote because I haven't tried Gideon's. Every time I have been there the line has been really long. I don't even stand in long lines for rides at Disney. I'm certainly not doing it for a cookie!

We recently got cookies from Summerhouse. We chose four of them and I thought they all were gross. We tried the lemon one first. It was very lemony but way too sweet for both of us. One bite each was plenty. Next we tried the peanut butter cookie. It was very bland. Maybe it was because we tried the lemon one first and that deadened our sense of taste, but the peanut butter was totally lacking flavor. We threw it away because there was no point. Next up was the sea salt chocolate chip. I was prepared for this to have salt but it was so salt forward that any other flavor was completely drowned out. My husband is normally very heavy handed with the salt shaker and even he said it was overwhelmingly salty. Last was the butterscotch oatmeal. I had very high hopes for this one as I love butterscotch and I don't come across it often in baked goods. This cookie was like a mouthful of salt, and I was not prepared for it to be salty at all. I actually had to spit it out. Our experience with the cookies was disappointing enough that we cancelled our dinner reservation at Summerhouse for the next evening.
