Poll: What would you do with "found" money?

I "found" some money!! I would:

  • Put the money in the bank for a rainy day

  • Pay off a credit card balance

  • Make a donation to charity

  • WDW, here I come!!!

If it's enough of a windfall I'd use it to travel to each and every Disney park around the world. I mean really, will you ever have that much money in one place ever again? :p

Happy travellin' to you!! :moped:

Pay off your credit card THEN put the money you were paying towards it each month in savings for a DISNEY WORLD trip! Be responsible AND get a fun trip! :woohoo:

I'd pay off the vet bill that I am currently running up. My sweet Minnie is very ill and in a specialist hospital 75 miles away. She 13 months old and has a tumor in her chest, we will get the results tomorrow. I can't stop crying. Her bill so far is:
$ 750.00 local vet
$1,500.00 down payment at the hospital with an estimate of $1,800-2,000 but that was before the biopsy. If any one cares to pray for her please do. Pray that it is not cancerous.

I'm so sorry about Minnie. I hope that it is not cancer. Best Wishes.

I would pay off credit card debt. If there is any left over put it towards vacation and also save the monthly $ you don't have to pay on your credit card bill for you vacation.

I was kinda hoping for "Go to WDW, you fool!!!"

I'll probably pay off some credit credit balances. But right now I'm just going to sit back and admire the check. I doubt I'll ever see a check to me for this amount of money ever again!

I know you already made a decision but I'm chiming in anyway.

Pay off as much credit card debt as possible. Not only because it will create more money for you later in saved interest payments, but because it is the right thing to do. Say you borrowed money from a good friend to meet a bill. Then you "find" some money. Would you pay your friend back the money that is hers? Or would you go treat yourself to something? You would pay your friend back because the money would be rightfully hers. You owe her. Credit card spending limits are not money coming to you that is yours to do with what you like (just as a friends loan is not your money to do with as you like)it is money that you owe back. As soon as you can afford to pay it back, you should. (I never charge anything that I don't have the money in the bank to pay it back that month). The only person that gets hurt or has to "pay" is you if you do not pay off "owed money" or loans. If you are in debt to someone or some company, that check in your hand does not belong to you.

Since I don't like carrying credit card debt, I had decided to use the money to bring it down. Anything else wouldn't make any sense.

However, it's fun to dream, isn't it???

Since I don't have credit card debt I would probably save some, plan a vacation and then blow the rest on nice yarn for my knitting addiction!

I would pay off the credit cards. If there were money left over I would buy a new car because I really need one.
