We have been discussing having a block of rooms for booking through Dreams Unlimited for the 2010 Marathon.

If you are coming and are interested in the block of rooms we may have what resort category are you interested in? This would be used to support GKTW.

Thanks everyone.

Kathy,

Thank u so much for this extra work!! I know a lot of the WISH team folks have Pop Century meets, so I voted value. Plus we can be open to more folks! But I would do moderate, too!!

We have a 2 bedroom villa at Animal Kingdom Lodge reserved already. But we would like to be part of some of the festivities whatever resort Dreams chooses.

We would be interested in a Value or Moderate. We could only be down for the days of the race and one on either side. Thanks for looking into it!!:goodvibes

I will be going value or moderate, depepnding on if my fiance can go with me. He has to have moderate or better for the bed size! No double beds for him!

I will be solo I think. So a moderate will be great!

POFQ is really convenient to the race start, and some runners have talked in the past about walking to the starting line. So I voted for a moderate.

I am usually a value girl, but after seeing POR at the Princess meet, I would really like to stay there or at POFQ

We will be staying in a studion at AKV, but would love to be involved any activities taking place.

Hi Kathy, thanks for bumping this. I posted a link to this thread over on the WISH board to see if anyone over there might be interested in this room block.

I really want to come down and do the full 2010 but it will depend on how cheaply I can find airfare and hopefully someone else to come also to share room cost. The podcast cruise and the stay afterwards at the Dolphin maxed out my Disney discretionary funds.

Value all the way for me!

Money is an issue so I would have to go with Value.

We stayed at WL for the 2009 marathon weekend, but can't afford to do Deluxe two years in a row, so it's going to be Value for us in 2010.

I think this would be great-- either value or moderate.. let us know. Thanks to Dave for the link from the WISH boards-- please post info on any room blocks over there too.

Hate to be the odd man out here, but we personally love the Poly for its sheer convenience on race day. That said, we would probably consider either a value or moderate if we knew there was a large WISH contingent staying together.
Just curious, when someone reserves a block of rooms is it a mere number of rooms available or are they actually geographically located together?

The optimistic side of me says deluxe because I love the Poly and who knows what will happen by next January. The realistic side says value because I should be saving money and who knows what will happen by next January.

Sorry I can't be more help :)

By blocking the rooms, do we get a discount or is it just reserving the rooms? If there aren't any discounts, can we apply AP rates or other codes (if available) to our reservations?
