I’ll be at the parks on 1/22 when MK has an 11pm close. I would *love* to hop over there and get in 2-3 rides that have little to no wait late at night i.e. Little Mermaid, Pooh etc.

So I am hoping to make it there around 10pm or so after a 9pm Harmonious, and would love your input on what the speediest way would be.

Probably watch Harmonious near the walkway to future world (it's a great spot to watch anyway), then as soon as Harmonious is over make a bee-line for the main entrance and grab a monorail for TTC. Pros and cons to all your options, but it's likely you can make it there by 10.

I would imagine there will be long lines waiting for the monorail at Epcot as the park closes and masses of people exiting at the same time. Many years ago when at Disney, we thought of doing the reverse of what you are asking by watching MK fireworks and then going to Epcot for whatever that fireworks show around the lake used to be called. We gave up on that idea when we saw the HUGE lines at the monorail station.

Any form of transportation will involve extensive wait times when parks are closing. I think that will be true with any of the transportation options.

I would walk out of IG and get the bus to MK from BC. Alternatively, walk out of IG and take a lyft to TTC from BC and then take the monorail. Once you get to BC, you should be able to see what the wait time is for the BC-MK bus and determine, then, if you want to bus or lyft. I would probably watch Harmonious somewhere between Japan and Canada to make the beeline to BC (Japan would offer the better views)

I voted for the monorail but the bus would probably be just as good - its really dependent on catching the ride or waiting for the next vehicle.

I vote for BC bus too. But be very aware of the bus schedule so you aren't waiting 30+ minutes at BC for the next bus. If for some amazing reasons you could get right on the Monorail, that would be the best bet.

I was thinking that because it’s getting to be the end of the day at MK, there should be at least one or two busses going back and forth. Of course, this is someone who has waited 90 minutes for a single bus at MK close!

in Dec , we watched MK fireworks and then went to Epcot. A CM suggested taking the ferry over the monorail to get to TTC. There were TONS of people everywhere. We finally got to Epcot and rode test track (single rider) once and soarin twice. It was exhausting- but fun

Bus schedule??? Do you mean the times listed on the board? Are they accurate now? We've been 4 times since reopening and they've been totally off and cms have told us they haven't been synced.

Lyft. Call for it at least 20 minutes in advance but expect to pay surge prices.

I would think MK bus from Beach & Yacht club would be quicker than monorail since you still have to transfer monorail lines while with the bus you are dropped right outside entrance to MK.

Monorail is by far the fastest and most efficient way to get from EP to MK.. Not sure why some are suggesting otherwise. Even if the monorail is crowded, it is still significantly faster than any bus options as buses are subject to traffic delays and road congestion especially after any park closes, this is a non-factor for monorail transportation..

Not necessarily. It's not a direct option, whereas the bus is - entrance to entrance.
I agree most times you are correct but I know we took the Monorail from EP to TTC to MK and during the day, park hopping it's great. At park close or right after the fireworks, expect to wait 3-5 Monorails before you get on. Buses are the same way. If by chance there is a bus waiting when you walk up, there will most likely be 2-3 bus loads in front of you. We have done all 3 ways and the Lyft was way way faster to TTC and the Express Monorail to MK that late is always walk on once it arrives. Only better option is MinnieVan if they ever come back.

It was a close race, but we ended up choosing the IG! We started walking over there during the finale of Harmonious, and speed walked ahead of the crowds (for the most part) to the BC bus stop. Amazingly, we pretty much walked on to our bus (no one on there either!!) and were inside Magic Kingdom by 9:50, where we managed 5 attractions! Did have to sprint to the peoplemover at 10:58 though.

Thanks for all the advice! It was great!
