Poll: Tux or Suit

Dh and ds (5) wore suits last cruise-- with white shirts and "respectable" ties for formal night. Semi formal night they wore suits with the jackets open and patterned/color shirts for semi formal. For our next cruise, I'm trying to get dh in a tux-- we're going to look on ebay. I don't think it'll be worth it for our son.

Definitely do the tux for formal night. We rented tuxes for our sons, 6 & 11 and they looked great. Also, the bow tie was actually more comfortable than a regular neck tie since it is not as tight.

My youngest wore his "Goofy the Sailor" hat with his tux for a picture with the real Goofy in his tux on formal night. A prized memory in our house!

I would say the ratio was about 30% tuxes, 40% dark suits and 40% not formally dressed on the 8/14 cruise.

I just looked at the cuiseline formalwear link for DCL, showed DS12, and he really likes the tuxes!

Since the poll is showing so many men wearing tuxes, I'm going to ask my guys to wear them, and to wear suits for the semi-formal.

I was going to wait until my Cruise Meet thread fills up with DISers to see what they'll be wearing, because I don't want my guys to be oddbballs in tuxes if the majority weras suits.

My mom is peaking over my shoulder reading this and she thinks I really need to get a life!
