Poll: Trick-or-Treat - how much do you give out?

we usually limit it to one piece and hand it out to the kids. We usually have 150 or more kids its just too expensive to give anymore than that.

we don't really celebrate Halloween in England, so we rarely get trick or treaters. If they do they tend to be thugs from the council estate near by. Plus we live on a main road, which is too dangerous for small children to be wandering about. From time to time we have nextdoor neighbours come over and we give them whatever chocolate we have lying around!

I have never been trick or treating in my life, so i really want to go to small town America to see what it's like.

also in the UK , so we don't get up to as much as you lot in the states, but it is starting in our neighbourhood - last year we thought we had loads of kids round - about 5 - They were all young (with parents loitering ) , so got a small chocolate bar from a mars multi bag.

Don't think I would like older kids coming to the door at night though...

No trick or treaters here in the country, so we go to my parents. They live in a town of 800, and have been getting close to 200 the past 2 years. Before that, they would get around 225. Mom always gives a candy bar and a sucker, and makes up special bags for the neighborhood kids.

Gosh I wish we got as many kids as some of you do. I LOVE giving out candy! We live ona cul de sac and many of our neighbors are older. Although the group DS10 goes around with brings at least 20 to my door at one time! I wish more came. DS10 and I have fun filling the little treat bags to the brim with an assortment of candy.

Early in the evening, we give out 2-3 pieces...then when a lot more kids start coming, we'll give 1 or 2 and then as things start to wind down, we'll give handfuls.

We buy the good stuff snickers, m&ms whatever. And I let my kids give it out buy the handful. This year we wont be home and I was thinking about leaving a bowl out but I know the first ones will take it all.

I usually hand out 2-3 pieces per child. We have to buy so much candy, there are so many kids in our neighborhood, we never have enough. Every year we have to turn off our lights around 9-9:30, there are still trick or treaters coming. WE LOVE HALLOWEEN!!!!!!!!!!!
