We have stayed in our home resort about 60% of the time...so no option there for that kind of pattern. Mostly we wanted to stay in every DVC resort at WDW (we have, except for Poly) so that's why the number is so low for home resort bookings.

gotcha, I guess my intention in the 2nd choice was to find out how many have bought cheaper points only to stay in other DVC resorts, while choice 3 picks up those that have stayed in multiple DVC resorts

Makes sense. I voted for 3, 5 & 6. We have two "homes" so we generally bank on one contract and borrow on the other to let us book entire stays on one contract. Beyond that, we have generally switched from having "points in the bank" to "perpetual borrowers". At least that way, you don't ever have points expire (unless there is a last minute cancellation).

I mostly stay at my 2 home resorts of Wilderness Lodge and Old Key West.

I love both of the resorts but now the Poly is top on my list as well.

We mostly stay at BWV. Lots of times we end up staying at multiple resorts so have stayed at BLT, OKW, SSR, AKV, BCV, VGF and will be staying at the POLY on our next trip.

We bop all around, using our OKW for many different resorts. Also own HHI and BWV and prefer to use them there but have used them for other resorts. Just sold our AKV after owning it for just 2.5 years and used them for a mixture of places. I'd say we bought on the cheap and use at other resorts (except our BWV which were bought direct and not cheap and we likely will use these primarily at BWV- 90% of the time). We have stayed at every east coast DVC except VGF and PBV (and probably won't do any extensive stay at those either as they eat a lot of points and we like 1BR/2BR with a washer/dryer). We have banked a little but have borrowed a LOT...always in borrowing mode. I have never rented points for us to use except for getting the one time use points from DVC (I have done that 3-4 times). I have rented points to a friend once and a family member once (for a very good price). We have never stayed in a grand villa or treehouse villa. We have stayed in studios very little (5 nights total) but we stay 1BR and 2BR villas the most. My MIL and FIL pay us to use half of our OKW points. SIL and BIL also own DVC and we do lots of trips with the inlaws. I also bring my mom a lot. DH and I just discussed this morning, what resort we want to try to stay at from now on. We both agree on AKV and then I threw in BLT...both have extra bathroom (in 1BR and 2BR villas) and the sleeper chair (as well as the sofa). We probably will use our BWV for F&W and stay there (if we can't switch to BCV at 7 month window).

Own BCV and have also stayed at multiple resorts. Just got back yesterday from a split including BWV. Because my heart is so loyal to BCV as my 'Epcot resort', I was surprised how much I loved BWV and now 'get it' why so many think BWV is such a pleasure to own with very reasonable points.

Still hate the clown but I would stay at BWV again in a heartbeat. Oh.....and it didn't hurt that checking in I got the surprise of my life as I had been upgraded to a 1 bedroom. No clue why.

I checked 3 of them. After Feb 2016, we will have stayed at all the Disney DVC except the Poly. We are constantly borrowing points. Our original resale contract is OKW and we've only stayed there once, we've never had a problem booking somewhere else at 7 mths. We did buy a small BWV contract in the past year to use at BWV only every other year for Fall visits to get the 11 mth benefit. We've enjoyed trying all the resorts. BWV is our favorite though!

I only checked 2 things. I didn't care for how # 2 was worded so I didn't check it. We bought at SSR because that was the only resort that was for sale direct at the time so I don't look at buying there as a bad thing. This was right about the time that AKV had been first announced but wasn't for sale yet… While I feel we did get a "cheap" deal in comparison to how much direct points cost NOW that wasn't why we bought there. Next, we like our SSR just fine (and have a trip booked there for January) but we DO like to resort hop from trip to trip. That was part of the plan / idea of buying a timeshare - so we COULD stay at a different resort from trip to trip. So, no, we don't stay there 90% of the time - but it wouldn't matter if we owned at BLT or VWL or BCV - we'd still have the same vacation patterns. We bought at the end of 2006 and have now stayed at all of the DVC resorts (incl. VB, HHI, VGC and Aulani) except the 2 newest ones (VGF & Poly). I also didn't check the choice for renting out our points - we haven't done THAT but we HAVE transferred points to someone before but that wasn't a choice on your poll. And finally, yes, though we've tried not to do it TOO much we've borrowed a few - and banked a few times. Hard to plan EXACT points from year to year. We have also booked a few nights for BIL & his wife & kid rather than bank or lose points (again, not a choice on your poll, but something we have done before).

Our 2 home resorts are not in Florida so we use most of our points at VGC and Aulani. In WDW we've stayed at SSR, VGF, BLT and AKL Jambo.

We mostly stay at two of our four home resorts...BLT and BWV. We bought direct SSR when it first came on line and paid way too much (more than $90 I believe).....so no buying on the cheap for us (although I should have bought more a few years ago when the resales hit rock bottom) and we have only stayed there once (when it was an incentive for buying BLT). I've stayed at Aluani, HHI, VWL, BLT, PVB, SSR, AKL Jambo and Kidani, BCV and BWV. Would still like to try them all...Vero, VGF, OKW, maybe VGC. Hm....I really only have two more to visit for WDW? I'm a lucky girl. Life is good to me.

We own at VGF and BCV - historically we always stay at our home resorts at WDW but we have used our points once to stay at VGC. We though will be using our points for a "last minute" (well for us - we planned it this month) trip in January 2016: our home resorts are booked so we are giving Saratoga a whirl.

When we bought at vgf I thought we would only stay there a few nights a year as an add on to our Marriott timeshare. That has not been how we use it at all . I have had so many opportunities to do so many amazing things with our ownership in such a short amount of time. We have stayed at aulani, vgf, bwv, vwl, and I just booked Easter at akl, bwv (the family loved it!!) and ending at vgf. I could see us buying more points resale at bwv to use for there and anywhere else we want to stay.

BWV owners. We always stayed there for years. Now we split stay a lot BWV and BLT primarily but have stayed at every DVC property except VWL.

I checked off #2, but I agree with pp that it is worded badly. We bought at HH because dues were lowest at that time, but they are now higher than most others. We also own at VB, on a special deal.
We have only stayed at HH once, for 2 nights and never at VB. So, more than 90% of our trips have been other DVC resorts.

Didn't vote because none of the choices are exactly correct for us. We have four home resorts, and we stay in them about 50-60% of the time. We'll love trying the different resorts, and we might select a resort based on our primary focus for a particular trip --i.e., going for F&W, we'll stay at a Boardwalk resort.

None of your answers apply to us. We bought OKW which was the only resort when we first bought. We trade out @95% of the time.

We prefer to stay at our home resort, BCV. We have done two nights at AKV on two trips at the beginning of vacation and enjoyed it but BCV is our true love. We may eventually try other resorts.
