Yes. My ds has asthma and every year our entire household is encouraged to get the flu shot, the swine flu vaccine will be no different.

Most likely, yes. I am pregnant, I have asthma, and I have a 4-year old. The baby will be born in early December and I'd really rather my family be immunized before she arrives.

I haven't had flu in 25-30 years. I work from home, so I'm not around a lot of people, and I'm a bit of a hand-washing freak. I think I'll be ok without the shot.

Nope. I'm not in a high risk population and I'll take reasonable precautions. No way would I try the vaccine at this point.

We vaccinate very very very selectively. At this point, besides DH choosing to get a tetanus shot a few years ago, we haven't had any vaccines in our family since before DD was born 10 years ago. We will take good care of our immune systems and wash hands often and thoroughly. If we are sick at all, we will stay home.

DD had a mild case of swine flu in the spring. She came through with no problems at all, and DH and I were fine. I don't know if she will have immunity when it comes through again. I hope so.

I personally think the media is making a bigger deal about swine flu than it actually is... I might get the shot because I live in a dorm but otherwise I'm not high risk or anything.

Exactly what I think. Landon Donovan managed to play a professional soccer game with H1N1. He wasn't very good but he did manage to play a professional sport with the virus. I'm sure it is not fun to have it but if you are in good shape and take care of your immune system the risk of death is low enough for me not to take a vaccine.

Yes. Do to immune issues of several people in our household, we are on the must-get first list. Upon doctor's recommendations, the entire household gets yearly flu shots. This year will not be any different.

I am definitely not panicked about it, but will adopt the rather be safe than sorry attitude. And I am more confident in the safety of the vaccine than I am in taking the chance of somebody developing a severe case of the flu (any flu) that could easily kill them.
