Our first visit was in 1976 :scared1: when we were married 6 months. We will be celebrating our 31st anniversary this year and hope to still be visitng WDW when we are celebrating our 50th!!

DH is 40, I am soon to be 39, we try and go once every year. Usally take my sister and she is 37.

46 year old with Parents in 70's - We go and Enjoy!. IMO you never get stared at - rides open for all!. I even go to the Parks on my own - line up for phot's and cast members willingly take them for me. Rides - I never get (or at least ) see any raised eyebrows) whe i hold up one finger to tell them I am on my own!!

Best thing ever was when I was in MK with my Mum - Goofy spotted her from a way off - ran towards her - past the children and picked her up and swung her (gently!) round!!. The beam on her face - made her whole holiday.

Disney is for children of all ages - go for it!!

DH & I are childless, are 34, lifelong Floridians and both came from Disney families. Our first official date was actually at MK in '91. We go to Orlando as often as we can. We don't plan on stopping anytime soon. We love to see couples older than us without kids at the parks and resorts holding hands and enjoying themselves. I know that will be us

For our next trip, I will be turning 40 and Gabby will be 34. I love WDW and I make no excuses for my desire to let my inner child come out and play. Walt did us all a greater service than even he may have realized. Maggie

DH and I are 50 and we've been there with our kids, both as kidlets and as big girls with the boyfriends...and now we go alone! We love it and will continue to go there with and without them.....the best vacation on earth!!!! :thumbsup2

DH (32) and I (30) are childless and have so much fun at WDW! We spent our honeymoon there in 1998. We will be going back next month to celebrate our 8th anniversary!

My wife and I went to WDW on our honeymoon a few years ago and caught so much slack from friends and family. I couldn't believe my ears. We had several options and decided on WDW, and thank goodness we did. We have so many awesome memories of that trip. Plus ever since, on our annual return, we add to those memories, :).

I have a sister who has grandkids she often took to DL (when she was a CA resident).
She made her first WDW last year, staying with DH and I. She really saw Disney from a different persepctive. Before she was always doing what the grandkids wanted (Dumbo, Pooh, Small World, etc).
That trip she got to do what SHE wanted! :cool1:

MY HUSBAND AND I ARE 78 AND 74 YEARS OLD. HOPE THIS IS NOT OUR LAST TRIP TO THE WORLD. WE DO ALOT OF SITTING, PEOPLE WATCHING AND ENJOYING THE BEAUTIFUL FOLIAGE. ALSO DO MOST SHOWS. WE ENJOY THE RESORTS AND MOST OF ALL, THE EATING.

I just love this thread and especially this reply. My wife and I met a "wiser" couple on one of our trips and thoroughly enjoyed the conversation.

I'm 48 and DH is 47; we go to WDW at least twice a year. We own DVC and plan to keep going as long as it lasts! We have no children and are finally "smelling the roses" after all these years of going- only go commando when we are taking newbies and we want them to see as much as possible.
We go in 7 days for a week of magic and to celebrate our 26th anniversary! :lovestruc

My DH and I are both 26 and we LOVE Disney. We went two years ago on our honeymoon (my first trip, his second) and now I'm hooked. We are going back this November and I can't wait. There is one particular person that I work with that says "Why don't you go somewhere else?" She just doesn't understand! But I don't care! I love it and will keep going as long as possible!! Just because we don't have children yet doesn't mean that Disney is not the vacation spot for us!

I'm so glad I started this thread - it's truly a magical read. Keep em' coming.

Happy DINKS here. DH is 41 and I am 44. We have been married 7.5 years and go to WDW as often as we can (8 trips to WDW and 1 to DL since we met). Next trip will be in October.

Last November, we went with 5 friends (all childless, ranging from 36 - 50) and everyone had a blast. The 50-year-old is my best friend and it was her first trip. She had been brainwashed to believe WDW is just for kids. She now knows that kids come in all ages and sizes. She had the time of her life and wants to go back.

We are barely fifty-and fifty is, after all, the new thirty. We have raised four kids, and have taken strollers, double strollers, best friends, relatives, and have also gone solo over the last twenty-five years. In my opinion, the very best trips are those that are just the two of us. Restful, romantic, and playful, with no one to entertain but ourselves. This year, we are taking our last two high-schoolers and their best buddies for two weeks-I expect they will be out on their own most of the day, leaving SweetPea and me alone to wander, eat where we want, hold hands, and just slow down. Our resort has evening activities for the kids, so I expect to be on our own at night, too. Dinner by the pool, maybe a little twilight golf, who knows what else. After twenty-eight years of marriage, we've got a lot of catching up to do.

Well, I am single, 45 and have fur babies, and I love to go to Disney. I don't give a rat's hiney what anyone else thinks about it. Unless they are paying for my vacation, I find it really no one's business where I go. :thumbsup2

I just love all of my vacations at Disney. It brings out the kid in me. And I especially love seeing the kids, younger and older, enjoying the magic as well. :cheer2:

All I can say is, should God put a wonderful man in front of me, he better like Disney! :goodvibes

I've been many times without kids. My husband and I would go. But now we have a DS6 we now go with him. But once he moves out, we'll still be going. I might be walking around with a cane, but we'll be going. Heck, we're thinking of working at WDW seasonally and living in Maine the rest of the year opening up a mini-golf course!!!! :cool1:

DH and I are 35 and childfree. I grew up going to WDW often (lived in Florida) and DH visited DL a few times. I introduced him to the larger "world" when we were still in college and he was hooked.

We're DVC members and go 2-3 times a year. Sometimes we take neices/nephews or extended family, but mostly we don't. This trip (in just 3 days!!) we're actually escorting about 15 of his coworkers - all adults 30-60 - around the parks for four days of our trip. I keep joking we should get flags and matching t-shirts and pretend to be a tour group! :)

If you're worried, don't be. Visit the Adults & Solos board on this site and you'll see there are a LOT of us out there.

We are in our mid 50's and purchased DVC at both OKW and Hilton Head about 6 years ago. Both daughters were grown, out of the house and married. We go to WDW at least twice a year---would go more often but DH hasn't retired yet---and to Hilton Head every summer. 2 years ago we took the entire family, daughters, sons-in-law and grandkids to HH. This summer we will take all to WDW for the first time. DH and I love going to WDW and plan to do so until we're too old to travel. At times some or all of the kids and grandkids may be with us but most times it will be just the two of us and we love it that way. We ride all the rides, go to the shows, take the backstage tours, visit the different resorts, people watch, etc. We do what we want, when we want.
