Well, I am single, 45 and have fur babies, and I love to go to Disney. I don't give a rat's hiney what anyone else thinks about it. Unless they are paying for my vacation, I find it really no one's business where I go. :thumbsup2

I just love all of my vacations at Disney. It brings out the kid in me. And I especially love seeing the kids, younger and older, enjoying the magic as well. :cheer2:

All I can say is, should God put a wonderful man in front of me, he better like Disney! :goodvibes
Amen to your post!! One of these days I'm going to tell the co-worker of mine that always says "Don't you want to go somewhere else?"...that if she wants to pay for my vacay then I will go where she picks.....but while I'm paying I'm going to go where I want....and that is disney!!!! And I don't care what anyone else thinks....At least my friends on here understand :)

Amen Sister!!! I'm 24 and I get the  everytime I bring up Disney, but I don't care because it floats my boat and I enjoy it!!

DBF and I are both 22 and went on our first trip together to WDW last January, we've already started planning for another trip and hope for a lot more in the future. Maybe we're still kids ourselves, just out of college, but I hope the magic and excitement of the trips never wears off!

When we visited we also went to Universal and sat next to this AMAZING couple (I'd guess they were in their early 70's) on Dr. Doom's Fearfall at IOA and they were loving it, laughing and giggling all through the 150ft. drop! DBF and I vowed to each other that we'd be as cool as them when we get to their age!

My DH is 47 and I am much much younger (no you aren't ... yes I am ... I'm only 29!) ... (no you aren't) -- anyway .... been married for 21 years, no kids ... only kitties -- and we LOVED WDW. Now, we also love the theme park nearest us and had season passes for years. But I was among those who kinda thought WDW was only for families ... I don't know why and had not discovered the DIS boards OBVIOUSLY!

After hearing about the 50th Anniversary (ok, I watched Regis and Kathy Lee while getting ready to take my mom for knee surgery) I decided THIS was the year! I am definately the PRINCESS type!

What a WONDERFUL trip we had!! Now I think of ALL the wasted time we went to Florida and were BORED at relatives house with nothing to do only 1 1/2 hours from WDW!!!

My van pool driver (w/4 kids all under 8) said DH and I would be the only people in WDW without kids -- HE WAS WRONG!!! We had such a great time in WDW, we decided to get Season Passes to the nearest Theme Park (King's Dominion) just as a way to pass the time to our NEXT WDW trip!

When I took my 18 month dd to Disney- I found out Disney is really not for small kids. Everything that 1st trip scared her (including the Pooh ride) except Mickey--I was soooo disappointed. Now that the girls are older 5 & 8 its getting really fun- but there is still limitation (we can't stay to 11;00 pm without taking it easy the next day)

But I will be going to Disney until I die. My father & I used to go all the time, since I was 16 til about 23, then I got married and my DH & I went before the kids. And when the kids are married, my DH & I will be going by ourselves, but I still think the kids will be coming along with us too. (I hope so anyways).

Disney is ageless!! Look at Mickey and Minnie they don't look over 20 do they. Disney is really catering to older couples with the F&W, F&G, candlelight procession, etc... Enjoy it to your 102!!!

I voted in the 50 - 65 range, but in fact DH will be 48 this week. We have no munchkins and have enjoyed every WDW trip we have taken.

In November we are taking our greatniece who will be 16 months old. I know she is a little young yet, but you got to start them young! We are all really looking forward to the trip.

I get the "look" too scoutsmom99.........but I don't care!!! I LOVE DISNEY!!!

My mom and I try to go for a quick getaway to wdw every year. We end up spending more time at the pool then in the parks :). My favourite trip was last year with my mom and 28 year old brother.

I hope DH becomes more enamored with disney over time, but in the meantime I'm enjoying my trips with the rest of the family!

Actually, we are empty nesters...does that count?

Some folks that aren't in the know, just don't get it. I am 40, and my DH is 46, we haven't any kids, but we come to Disney every year for a week, and we love it......12 days and counting.

I guess I am going to have to be the one to start a new thread for those of us who are immature and still love going to DW.

I had a poor childhood in many ways and have greatly enjoyed making it to the "Promised Land" as I, too, grew up watching Uncle Walt on TV. I dared not dream that I would actually ever get there but when I did I wandered around with tears in my eyes and laughter in my heart while my kids just shook their heads and could not understand. They still do not. My youngest grandson loves DW and has been there with me and cannot understand why "Those People" will not take him back. I tell him to get a good education and a good job and he can then go as often and as long as he wishes and take grandma along. (grin)

I have been there with children, grandchildren, siblings, friends and each and every trip has been wonderful, different but wonderful. We are going on our 15th trip in September and it will be unique because of the opportunities to eat at places we would have never have considered, for many reasons. Even though it is a 20 day trip I am having a hard time fitting in all the things we want to do.

Tired of Disney? Never!!!

Slightly Goofy (but not completely nuts, yet)

I'm 50 :earsboy: and DW is 58 :earsgirl: . Both our DD's are grown with their own families but are not ready for Disney yet. We wouldn't vacation anywhere else. When the DD's are ready we'll all go together. Until then it just the two of us at WDW :love2:

our last trip was our first kidless( they are grown, we are on the lower end of 50) and i have to say we had our best trip ever, we could go where we wanted, stay how long we wanted, be dumb/silly with out anyone we knew rolling their eyes...I kind of thought it would be different and not as nice as with the kids but it was great...looking forward to taking grandbaby but won't hesitate to just go again with hubby either

Well, I'm gonna answer this but I didn't vote 'cause my answer doesn't really fit in there.

My boys are 9 and 10 (we've brought them 2x already and planning our 3rd trip for next year)

But really, my hubby and I have already had a talk about how we can't wait until they are older and on their own so we can go by ourselves and have a ball. Sounds mean, but I'm sure you all know what I'm talking about. We can stroll around, do the rides that WE want to do, take in some shows, yes...do the character dinners and actually go into some shops (I forbid to go in with the kids---its a nightmare)

I don't think you're ever too old to go to Disney.

i felt exactly the same way my first time there...wonderful world of disney made it's mark for sure! and in some ways i totally agree with peter pan, why be any more "mature" as in "grown up and boring" than you have to be :rotfl:

I am 26 DH is 32 (almost 33)....my first trip was last September....we are going again in 17 days...then for my 3rd trip in September this year.....

I think it's safe to say, we will go at least once a year! :cheer2:

My family has been going for years and we still go as a family Mom is 54 dad is 53 im 32 and my two sister 27 and 16. We get two rooms one for us older too and one for mom dad and little sis. we will be doing this forever. and i go with my bf ever year just the two of us. your never too old for disney. I always say i don't wanna grow up im a disney kid

This December will be our fifth trip to disney together. My husband is 35 and I'm 29(well, almost 30) . We love WDW! We have been to some really nice places in the caribbean, but disney is still our favorite vacation. Can't wait to see it at Christmas time!

My husband and I are both 30 (no kids) and we moved to FL 7 years ago so that we could go to Disney more often! Disney keeps us young!

I went as a kid one time. The last year was my first time with my hubby and 3 kids. We splurged and did/paid for whatever we wanted, thinking 'this grand trip will need to last us a lifetime" like how many times can one go to Disney. Well, I was so depressedwhen i got home(missing Disney) didn't dare dream about it again. Hubby mentioned 'well, maybe we can afford to go every other year" I finally couldn't stand it anymore and said 'we are going THIS year" Now, i got inlaws, friends and relatives all thinking I am nuts "there are other places to go" or "you were just there"
I KNOW i will enjoy Disney why waste my money elsewhere? Hubby and I are already planning a trip NEXT year sans kids!
I admit to trying to pawn a couple off this year..we battle with our conscience..is it evil for parents to go to Disney without kids?
Apparently, it is as my inlaws said "we won't watch them this year as your kids should go with you"
Oh well, you empty nesters..at times I am envious....

Least i get to go..it is more than I ever dreamed would be possible
