I chose 7 days, well, I guess Sat to Sat is actually 8 days, but we don't get a full day on our departing day, so 7 days it is!!

I like to stay at least 8 days. Otherwise I feel rushed and like I didn't get to see a lot of things. Last trip we stayed 12 days and to me that was perfect :)

We tend to do week long vacations pretty much anywhere we go because that is the easiest block of time for my husband to take off. We're doing 8 days/7 nights on this trip (leaving tomorrow!) and I think that will be enough for us. If not, we'll have to go back!

I chose 7 as average, but I prefer 10 or more days. Our last trip we stayed for 10 days and it was not long enough.

We stayed 12 nights on our vacation in August, but my DH wants me to cut it down to a week for our next one in 2010. He thought it was a bit long for our girls, although I loved every minute of it. That was the longest vacation we had been on as a family. Most of our vacations before WDW were for about 5 days, but we always stayed close to home. DH is not a good flyer, but he said it was worth it for WDW! I think we will probably leave on a Friday and come home on a Sunday, so that makes 9 nights for our next one.

Lucky you! Have a great vacation!!! :goodvibes

I only do 5-7 days max. With a 5 yr old, and not so disneyfied DH it is just enough time before we start killing each other.By day #5 I have had a great time at WDW and am now considering re-thinking my marriage, or drinking heavily.

We did the five/six days in the past and felt very rushed as well. Now since we only take one major vacation a year or every other year we try to plan for at least ten days or more in Disney. Especially if you have smaller children this works out well and there really isnt much difference in price to stay a few more extra days and you feel like you got more out of your trip.

We do short trips- 3-4 days max. But we live 3.5 hours away and can go for another day trip during the year. I've been to Disney so many times in my life that I don't mind missing a lot- it just means I have new things to see the next time. Plus, DH is not really into Disney, so it's a hard sell.

We always go for at least 1 week. Less then that and I don't think we would have enough time to do all the things we would like to do.

We did 9 days, since we knew we'd lose 1.5 days for a wedding.:bride: A trip dedicated to the parks we'd get by with 7.

Lord, he'p me! I need to get back there.

We go for 9-14 days usually. Sometimes though, we have found that the longer we are there, the less we do. I guess because we start out figuring we have all this time...then it slips away on us. The shorter trips can be very productive and enjoyable too. ANY amount of time at Disney is good, but I can't imagine going for less than a week because I'd feel too rushed.

In the past, we've always gone camping in the Adirondacks for our summer vacation. With the amount of work involved in setting up a campsite for six people, we've always made it a two week (actually 16 days including weekends) trip.

Last summer we went to Disney with seven people. We took three days to drive down (spent part of a day in D.C. and most of the last day in Downtown Disney) spent seven days in Disney World, and took two days to drive home for a total of 12 days. It was a nice trip, but a bit short at least by my standards.

This coming summer it will just be DW, DD14, DS5, and me, and we will be spending 12 days in WDW, plus two days driving each way, which will be 16 days total. That is more like a vacation in my book!

DH and i have gone for a week the last two times. this time we will be going Mon-Fri. We now have a toddler(don't know how she will do ovre all being away from home for too long) and also we will be leaving my 81 year old father home alone so we want to make sure we are not gone too long.

Generally nothing less than 9 days.

We usually go in January for between 8 and 13 days.

This summer, and last, though, we went with our extended family for shorter trips, about 5-6 days).

I can't imagine doing anything shorter, although many can probably do it sucessfully, just because I like to do everything every time- doesn't matter how many times I've been, I still want to do it all:thumbsup2

We usually do 10-11 days. We always stay offsite, (and usually pay about $70 per night for the room) so the biggest expense for us in our trip is flights from CT to Florida....the price of the flight is the same for 3-4 days vs. 10-11 days, so it seems reasonable to us to stay longer. We always buy tickets for the full number of days, and those extra days after the 6th day or so are a downright bargain (just a couple bucks extra per person per day).

DH always takes a full week off of work, plus one day usually. We generally travel down on a Friday, then back the following Sunday. We figure we might as well use both weekends on the end of our week to maximize our trip. In the end, our 11 day trip is not that much more than a 6 or 7 day trip would cost us when you take everything into account (we stay offsite, eat counter service or in our room).

The first time I took my DH I managed to keep pushing back our flights. We got there and he looked and me and said, "How did I end up here for ten days?" Hehe! Well after that first trip he said, "We can never come for less than ten days. And so far we haven't. But we go every four years or so, not yearly or more like some on here. We don't like to be rushed and we find those extra days are heaven.
