Poll: How I feel about our President?

I had a hard time choosing between "like him" and "he's OK--done more good than harm". I agree with his/the Republican party's position on many (but not all) issues, so I generally agree with his policies. I do respect his leadership very much following 9/11. I don't like the reasoning he gave for the Iraq war (I support the war, but I think he should've been more forthcoming in the real reasons we were going over there), and I don't like some of his cronyism (of course I could say that about any political figure these days). So I see him as a mixed bag, but I like him.

I have to say,this is the one thing he did that liked at the time..I thought he was very comforting right after 9/11. I was affectionate towards him at that point.

I'm really surprised at how close this poll is. Seems like slightly more people here don't like him than like him (about 55% to 45%). In the media, and on the boards, and in my democratic hometown it seems like EVERYONE hates him....I guess that's just not true.

While these polls are fun, you need to look at a random sample of people to judge this or anything else. People on the DIS aren't going to be a random sample by a longshot.

The DIS CB tends to run far more conservative than the nation as a whole. I haven't looked for awhile, but the last time I did, Bush's popularity numbers were in the 30-some percentile. So I think a number in the 40's here is about what I'd expect.

To tell you the truth, I can't think of anyone/anything that I really despise (except perhaps cheese). I voted "He's OK". That is my opinion and mine alone and I do not have any argument with anyone elses opinion of him.

Well, there are a lot of people who have not come around to your way of thinking. 40 percent of the population likes him o.k., so obviously the kool aid is still plentiful.

I am surprised that bush is not doing better in this poll. The DIS has been much more conservative than the rest of the country and these results are only 10% or so points off the national polls results.
