I love Kettle Corn and Roasted Corn.:thumbsup2

There was no choice for all of the above so I marked other. My grandmother used to make these corn fritter pancake like things from creamed corn when I was little - I love those - but next I guess would be on the cob as well as a good cornbread.

Well, I voted popped because I do love popcorn, but I also love corn on the cob. HATE creamed corn.

And, I'm allergic to corn, so I can't have too much at a time.

I went with other, I like it popped (will eat popcorn as a meal if I'm not too hungry), from a can mixed with black beans and on a cob covered with butter and garlic. YUM!!

I voted popped too b/c it's my favorite and I have a theater style popcorn machine. popcorn:: But I like all kinds too. On the cobb with lime chili butter, yum! If I could have my Grandmother's fresh creamed corn 1 more time that would be :cloud9: If I have to eat canned I prefer a mixture of whole and creamed. Years ago we had a Kenny Rodgers chicken place here that had the best cornbread muffins made with creamed corn.

Okay so call me stupid :rolleyes1, but how do you make homemade cream corn?

Creamed corn doesn't actually have any cream in it. At least the version I make doesn't. Creaming is the method of preparation. You take a fresh cob of corn and cut off the kernels. Then you go back and scrape all the leftover kernels and liquid off the cob. It is time consuming but so worth it. They do sell a tool that makes it a little easier than using a knife.

Here is a video showing how to cream corn...

Popped, is there any other way?:rotfl2: No, seriously, I like it all, creamed, on the cob, frozen, canned.

I voted popped. I like my popcorn like my women - smoking hot.
(ugh, what a corny line)

Grilled corn on the cob--fresh corn, pull back husks and clean off silks, soak in water for 30 minutes or so, mix butter/margarine with honey and spread on corn, place on grill. Husks will eventually burn, but corn will kind of steam and it is oh, so GOOD!

Country creamed corn--clean fresh corn, cut kernals off cob, scrape each cob to get all the "milk" into bowl. In large cast iron skillet, melt butter/margarine (I use about a stick), add cut corn and let cook. Later in cooking I add small amount of milk and more butter. If too liquidy, add milk with a tsp. of flour added in. So good.

And popcorn either at the movie theater with butter or with salt, sprayed with butter spray and parmesan cheese added.

Well, it ain't creamed corn without cream in it. That's like Ice Cream without cream. Or creamed corn without corn in it :lmao:*
I voted other, because I have never met corn I didn't like, although my dentist thinks popcorn should be banned since so many people get husks caught between gum and teeth and get infections.
*Recipes, all with cream.

Well, then you probably shouldn't look at the ingredient list on a can of cream corn.:thumbsup2

Straight from the can. On Main Street. Waiting for the 3:00 parade.

:lmao:

But seriously, I like corn most ways, but I love fresh grilled corn on the cob!!

I like all kinds of corn and everything with corn in it, except creamed corn.

Fresh homemade kettle corn is the best though, omg so delicious!

I watched that youtube video on making fresh creamed corn and I'm amazed because I though it only came in a can! :rotfl:
Would like to try it but not using 30+ ears of corn...seems like a lot of work!
