I am posting a poll for the new extra magic hour at night and I think I might be the first one on the site to do this. I would just like to get a feel for how many people like this idea? I for one love the idea of this and think that it is a million times better then Early Magic hour. Any ways I would love to get some feed back here.

I love this idea and I love EE.

I didn't vote in the poll because I'd take advantage of both programs.

As long as it is free to all Resort Guests!
I hope this does not turn into an extra $$$ Event

For once, we won't miss the boat on this one.

::yes::

We've been to DW 4x offsite.

Fortunately, we'll be there staying at POFQ during May!

It worked out better than we thought! A little more effort and research on my part has paid off. :sunny:

I prefer the Early Magic Hour only because I have three kids under 7 that are all up by 7:30 every morning anyway, so why not take advantage of the hour in the morning. If they were older though, the extra night hour would be great!:p

I'm an early riser but DH isn't. This looks like the best of both worlds for us...some early mornings and some later evenings. It's not as good as Universal's FOTL but it's better than nothing.

Well the numbers so far look fairly positive for Night Extra Magic Hours, I just hope that this run in May is very very sucessfull and Disney keeps it forever.

I would prefer EMH. If they would do a combination of the two that would be perfect (kind of like the trial period coming up). I think it depends on what you're looking for, though. For those who only want more park time/longer hours then the evening program would be great. I do think it will be WAY more crowded, though. So if you want low crowds (which is what *I* want), then the mornings are the way to go, IMO.

Overall, I do consider it a good thing that they are even considering some new ideas.

I prefer the extra hour in the morning since my children are little. Actually, I prefer the way it was---1 1/2 hours instead of 1 hour.

I like the night-time idea. We are on the West Coast & being in the parks at 5am PST for the morning EMH will be a stretch for this night-owl family. When we were there in December, we didn't make one EMH.

I voted its way better than the Early MH but actually I think having both is a great idea. There are always the early risers that go right away then some of us who are not early risers but night owls. I hope they keep both.

It will be interesting to hear reports next month. My guess is that the "extra" hour at the end of the day will be much more crowded then early morning. I'd do both but prefer the early morning better. I would like to see more E-Ride nights though.

Well it looks like the vast majority of people are like myself and they think it is a great idea.I just hope and I am crossing my fingers that the test trials go well and Disney uses this forever.

:hyper:
YES YES They should definately keep it.
I am going in November and really am expecting to have this feature.
How Can we Get DISNEY to keep this???
I found it very fun!

I agree this could be a likely outcome. I would like to see Park "A" on EMH in the am and Park "B" in the evening so there would be a double benefit to onsite guests and it would cover both the am and pm crowd

As such, I did not make a selection

I would like the idea better if they kept all the mornings, and added a few nights every week (one at each park). I don't like the idea that some mornings there won't be an EMH because I love them.

I also have to wonder if these nights go over well if they will still be free. Why get rid of e-ticket nights that people were paying for and give them something for free? Maybe they are trying to decide if they should do the e-ticket nights at parks other than the MK?

I didn't vote because I will take advantage of them both, morning and night. Honestly the only park that I am particularly concerned about is MK. The other parks I can make 1/2 day here, 1/2 day there, but MK. We go there the most because we have small kids.

We have used EMH or EE every day of every WDW trip for the last 4 years. It is one reason that I'd never stay offsite. We love being able to get so much done in the mornings & then relax some in the afternoon at the resort. :)

I think this new EMH will work out nicely if they can continue to rotate mornings & evenings to make more guests happy. If the EMH in the evenings compares to E-nights at all - in our experience the E-nights were always much more crowded than EMH in the mornings. We never enjoyed the E-nights as much as the early entry - I think the nighttime EMH will definitely be much busier.

My SIL is going to WDW in May & will be there for the "test-run" so I'll get to hear from her how it was. :)

The two choices:

Get up early in the morning, rush to the park, stand in a HUGE line and wait for the rope to drop so that I can enjoy an extra hour.

OR:

Visit a park of choice in the morning, take a break, sometime in the late afternoon take a relaxing ride over to Magic Kingdom, have no lines to wait in to get into the park. Enjoy supper or head straight for the rides. Then, when a large group of people has to leave the park because they are not resort guests, I can stay and enjoy the park for an hour longer.

I'd definitely pick the second. I don't have a problem getting up in the morning, but I'd much rather sleep a bit longer. I'm definitely a night person. Now the only problem I see with the night time EMH is how do you get the non park guests out? I'm sure they have it figured out because the work out EE just fine. DH and I tried to be one of the last people out of MK in January. It just didn't happen. We were there an HOUR after the park closed, and still there were TONS of people all over the place.
