I used to swear by New Balance and Sacony until I tried Keens. Any pair of Keens is fabulous for the parks. I love the Newports, have the mary janes, some slides. They keep my feet comfy, no blisters, no aching!!

:cool1: I vote for sneakers also. I have to have support for my aching feet. I dont know how people can wear flip flops all day long without any arch support. I get some a few months before we go for the whole family to make sure they get broken in before all that walking in the World! :cool1:

Sandals for the most part....Teva Flip flops or Birkenstocks. However, if I wear sneakers they are New Balance.

I take a couple of pairs of sneakers. Specifically Saucony running sneaks. They have great cushion for the all day walk-about the parks.

Remember to break your shoes in before you go! :cool1:

I have to wear flip flops in the parks that aren't flat to the ground. It hurts the arches of my feet to wear sneakers or completely flat shoes.

I voted for Sneakers....BUT...I wear my sneakers in the AM (New Balance) and sandals in the PM (Tevas).

I like the big yellow fluffy shoes, as they are sort of stuck on me :-)

I switched off between sandals and sneaks - the same shoes day after day can start to hurt. We like the sandals from Lands End.

If I had to do a lot of walking, multiple pairs of shoes, with different friction points, would be a good idea.

I am taking my Crocs. Love them!!!

After reading all the posts, of people thinking that Crocs were the most comfortable shoes, I bought some crocs.
In fact, I bought two pairs, so I could try walking around in both sizes to see what really worked.
I am not yet sold, on the idea, that these are good walking shoes.
However, these are good (maybe the best) standing around shoes (another thing we do a lot of at WDW).

It might be the sizing, width compared to length. Even the smaller size (of those I bought) is almost too wide, and my foot does not have a below average width. The smaller size seems too short, although this might be the placement of the back strap, which seems to force my foot too far forward. I stretched it some, making the fit better. I think that consistancy is not well managed, and that one of my shoes has a strap that forces my toes closer to the end of the shoe, than the other strap.

A few years ago, while in WDW, I found a pair of Sandals that are the most comfortable pair I own. The brand is REEF. I have not been able to find another pair like them. They have the needed "squish" on the bottom, and the straps are such that the friction points are the best ones for my foot.

I wear Reef flip-flop or this ones (Melissa-Ipanema)...

Merrells are the BEST, most comfortable sandals (or shoes) I have ever worn! I could walk all day when I wear these (and have).

Just got my CRocs and got 2 more pair today! I have a wide foot, so they are great! Wore them all day today and I felt like I had slippers on!

Used to be sneakers

Got to have BIRKENSTOCKS! Me, DH and DD (7) DS (4) all wore them with no feet problems of any kind. ::MinnieMo

Have to agree. Bought a pair of Merrell sandals, and another Merrell walking shoes. Both keep my dogs from barking. (Does anyone ever use that phrase anymore?!)

:teeth:

Will also take my Nike running shoes and trade off.

I am looking for a comfortable shoe for our WDW trip in July. Can someone please tell me where I can find CROCS and what kind of shoe are they. I have a wide foot and I would love to see what they look like. I appreciate your help.

Thanks

I'm glad someone else loves Birks! They are THE Best! (IMO)

I might try the Merrels too, they look comfy.

I voted for Sneakers but a good pair of New Balance. I also have orthotics in them and this year, I'm going to try the Thorlo socks with them. I need lots of support as I have so many problems with my feet. I do have a pr of Tevas but when I bought them, I never knew there were so many styles and thought 1 pr of Tevas was the same as the next. I may take them to wear after our break when we go back to the parks at nite and see what they do but not sure. I've looked all over for the CROCS and can't seem to find them. I really hate to order them and then need to return and re-order. My feet are to the point that I can't go by a 'size'. I need to try on.
