It is our family's tradition to eat dinner the first night at Ohana. I am getting goose bumps just thinking of it!

I voted for PF because of DD. We do CM but I have a DS & DD. You can not go wrong with any of your choices. But don't forget to take a spin on the monorail :earsboy:

I voted Ohana because that's where we're eating our first night. :cool1:

If your daughter is a princess fan, I'd go with 1900 PF.

I voted for 1900 Park Fare as that is going to be our first meal with our DDs one of whom will be 5 by then! I just love the line up- Cinderella, Prince Charming, Fairy Godmother, and the two mice. What a magical way to begin their first WDW vacation IMO... Of course, we're also going to 'Ohana and Chef Mickey's for breakfasts as well! :cool1:

We have had CM's as our first meal tradition for years now. Only one time have we not been able to do it and that was in Aug.'04. Hurricane Charley arrived the same day we did (about 6 hrs. later than we did!!) and they shut down Chef Mickey's...no dinners served. But, even last Nov...we arrived on Thanksgiving Day and our first meal was...you guessed it...Chef Mickey's. ANd it was really, really good. I was surprised at how good it was for turkey day. I just think it gets you in the Disney mood!! :earsboy:

We are taking DGD to CHef Mickeys the first night. My sis in law, and DIsney vet recommended this as a way to introduce our little primcess to the characters.

Well, I couldn't vote in the poll, but for about six years now our first night dinner has been Hoop de Doo. It is now, and probably always will be, a family tradition and so far (knock on wood) our flight has never been delayed as to cause us an issue.

i voted 1900 'cause we like it there, but for first night dinner we realllly like Liberty Tree Tavern :)

I'd choose 1900 Park Faire. At Ohana I think the food is good, but there are no characters. At Chef Mickey there are characters, but IMHO the food is not good. The food is good at Park Faire and there are characters. I don't think there is anywhere else to meet Prince Charming, which I think is fun.

i said park faire as i don't think it has the craziness of cm and therefore if you are tired might work better..ohana i hated

Chef Mickey's! We did this our first night and it was such a huge hit we did it again on our last night. To me it is perfect for a first night's dinner because it has the classic Disney characters... Mickey, Minnie, Goofy, Chip, Dale, Donald, and Pluto. What is more Disney than that? It really gets you in the Disney spirit. The place is jumping, it has such an energetic vibe, and the characters are wonderful. Today we were talking about our next trip and how we'd like to try all new restaurants next time, the kids agreed except for Chef Mickey's. They insist on going there our first night. It is to be our tradition. It made a big impression on them. So, it will be Chef Mickey's our first night for all the years to come!
