I am in the boat of those that have never had an opportunity to see it. I have only been to DLR once since I was a kid in 2008. It wasn't showing any nights we were there. Now we are heading to DLR in Oct 2011 and Feb 2012 and our next WDW trip is in 2013. So we may miss it altogether unless it comes back to DLP and then we plan another DLR trip.

Eh, I think it's splitting hairs and trying to stir up something that isn't there.

I own a lightbulb, as do several of my friends. When they brought it back to DCA (yes, yes, I know, it never WAS at DCA before, but still.... they brought it back to DLR), we all sort of looked at each other and said, "Guess they bought new lightbulbs!"

I don't care how they handled it leaving in the past. I grew up with it at DL, saw it at DCA also and think it would be great to have it back at the original DL park!

To put it in storage or send it overseas would be the BIG mistake, imho.

Well, first of all we don't know that the DLR doesn't know what to do with the Electrical Parade. After all, this is just rumor/speculation on the part of Al Lutz. Someone could know exactly what they want to do with it.

Al Lutz has so much speculation in his articles I wonder why he even writes them. AL should try a career in construction instead of accting like he's an expert at it and knows what is happening.



I'd like the (MS)ELP to go to DCA, so there would be two big nightime events, it and WoC. I'd like it to run about before WoC, with the holding areas for WoC's first show along the parade route. Something like reserved seating for the parade or at least something to entertain everyone waiting for WoC.

I would love it to come back to DLR, either park would be ok with me. It is one of my best childhood memories of DL.

I read a lot of trip reports over on the DW boards, and so many of them say how they prefer Spectromagic. Having seen Spectromagic a few times, I think they are crazy. But I think it just proves that the EP belongs at DL, and DW can keep Spectromagic.

I think I will listen to the parade on my mp3 now. I love the music. Then maybe a little Pirates, then Haunted Mansion, then... well, you get the picture of the songs on my mp3.

I think everyone can calm down. The OP made the poll right after a report on where the MSELP may go. I'd guess they felt a lot of passion about it after reading and just wanted to know if everyone else felt passionate.

It's a nice poll though since it has led to talk about one of DLR best parades ever. And one that people may want to plan to see in the future.

When people ask what is better MSELP or Spectro the result depends 99% on your home park. Polls about which is better pop up on the theme park board every time a small rumor comes out about one of them coming or going. Since it's over there Spectro always wins by a lot and the people who vote for MSELP tend to all be from the West Coast or grew up there. It's similar to which Space Mountain or fireworks is better.

I saw most of it the other night at MK. It...sounds different. I had most recently seen it at DCA when it was still there, on one of my solo trips, and it sounded correct.

What happened?


Sometimes I think I have a lawyer's soul, because to me, they changed the lights, they seem to have changed the music (or at least the sound of the music...it's not twangy now), so it's not the SAME parade. Therefore, the parade DID glow away forever, because it isn't the same thing anymore.

But I'd prefer to put it at DCA, because I liked how it looked there. Just too close in at DL, and I didn't like how it looked at MK.

And make it sound right, dangit!

Clever! The could also use some other old slogan's like "Happiest Homecoming" if they weren't already used.

How odd. ??? Maybe it's their sound system, or the specific acoustics of the place? I hope the didn't change the song.

I think the biggest reason I love the EP over SLM (aside from childhood nostalgia) is the music. SLM is nice music and nice singing, but it sounds more mainstream. It's not truly unique, IMO. The music for the EP is very unique. You're not going to mistake it for anything else.

Of course, I'd like to see the EP back at DL, but I'd still be ok if it ended up back at CA. As long as they keep it.
