POLL - are you staying at AKL soon or are you an AKL refugee?

Hi,

Just wanting to gauge how many people are moving from AKL (through their choice or as Disney called them) and how many have not received a call from Disney (or TA) and are staying at AKL as far as they are aware.

We are staying 12/08 to 26/08 and have not been called to move and I see today that some people going in Sept have been called to move.

I think for all the uncertainty and rumours it would be good to get a poll of how many people on here this is actually affecting.

AKL standard view, 08/15 to 08/19.

I called but they said I would have received a call.

Was offered almost anything, SSR 1 bedroom with no discount or refund (had a great deal at AKL, 3 Adults $163.84 per night including tax), YC, BWI, BWV 1 bedroom, WL, GF or Poly.

Staying at Poly garden view.

Hope to one day get a great deal on AKL so we can stay there or we may rent points for a AKV studio.

Happy with the way Disney treated us, who wouldn't be. Also very glad that I was proactive and was able to select from a few resorts.

Ditto what kutchyone said. We would have gotten the call too if we would not have called ourselves.

Moved to BC but was offered all other deluxe resorts. We had a standard view room.

booked AKL standard room 8/10 - 8/24, now moved to Poly Garden View. We love both resorts and the convenience of the monorail will be welcome!

Was 8/19-8/25 standard view. I called because that is my personality...I wanted a choice if I was to be moved...I was slated to be called...headed to BC! Looking forward to a great time in the World!

Now lagoon view at the Poly.

We staying at the AKL Sept 18-23rd Savanna view that I booked through the website so I dont have a travel agent.

Does this concern me?

Disney has been calling guests staying at AKL with a check-in date PRIOR to Sept 1, to move them to another resort due to AKL construction.

Our dates are Sept 14-23 standard view and we have not been called either. Maybe we'll see you there?

That is why I started the poll Mika. I wanted to see if I was alone in not having been called and staying in August. Great to see there are others!

We are staying Aug. 11-19, booked standard room at AKL. I called last weekend as we have 2 rooms some of the nights and wanted a choice if we were going to be bumped. Sat. they told me they are staying open and everything is fine. Monday Disney called back and said that it was good I called as I was on 'the list" anyways. We moved to courtyard at WL. A bit disappointed, but never stayed there either so excited too.

We were booked for AKL standard view 8/31 - 9/9 and got the call last week. We have been moved to the Poly garden view. Was looking forward to staying at AKL, but am thrilled to be going to the Poly!

We're booked 8/17 - 8/24 concierge standard room. I have not gotten a call. Got tired of waiting and called the dedicated move line. They told me I could stay. Of course, that was a couple of weeks ago and things might have changed, but, as of now, I'm planning on staying at AKL.
