I voted already. But if the lodge is bundled with the cabins, I bet the DVC name for the entire operation will be something other Lakeside Lodge. It will be something more general to include the Wilderness cabins. Maybe something like Lakeside Lodge and Cabins. But then again, who knows what Disney will pick.

Being part of the same vacation plan in the trust does not require them to have different names.

That is one of the elements of being part of a trust. They can combine different component sites in the same RTU plan.

They can have one plan that includes both the cabins and the lodge and simply give each the same home resort priority to each.

So, what name might change is the name of the RTU plan but the project can be added with its official name and then the units added to the same plan.

But the name of each doesn’t change. So you can have CFW and VLL both as part of the trust.

They can even put it there under its own RTU plan too.

It's normally referred as CCV.

Disney has called this Disney's Lakeside Lodge, so at the moment DLL makes the most sense to me. If it ends having both a Villa and a Cash wing, then it should be VLL.

I thought Reflections was supposed to be mixed use with a total of 900 rooms so I gathered this will be the same which is why I’m in the VLL camp plus DL is my home park and can’t do DLL lol

What's your acronym choice for the new Disney Lakeshore Lodge (formerly Reflections)? There are some tricky problems with this resort name (LL evokes Lightning Lane, DLL evokes Disneyland).

Do you have a different (better) idea than the options offered?

It doesn't matter what people think in the poll, this is going to be call LL. Anything else is cumbersome, excessively 'flowery' or redundant.

I agree with you! I favor DLL, for Disney’s Lakeshore Lodge, which is different from DL for Disneyland and DLR for Disneyland Resort.

VLL is in the lead but I don‘t get it: Disney never officially called it ‚Villas at Lakeshore Lodge‘, did they? It‘s always referred to as Disney‘s Lakeshore Lodge -> DLL or LSL

My biggest cobcern with any acronyms that involve "LL" is that is also used for lighting lane, and its various permutations. Using anything similar for lakeshore lodge has the potential to be confusing, especially if there are typos.

They may also still be thinking about having the lakeside cabins that were part of the Reflections plans.
So it would be villas, lakeside cabins, and FW cabins.
"Resort" would be the most encompassing term for the group.

Just like the resort being Boardwalk and thus its Boardwalk Villas describing that its the Villas portion of it. This is Disney's Lakeshore Lodge with Villas being a description at the end of it.

It can't be LL as that is 100% lightning lane and you are not changing 99% of the DIS community for the 1% of conversations about this new resort.

If the name in totality is just that then 100% its LLR.

This new resort doesn't have me excited at all so just figured LLR referred to both Cash/DVC sides and they would later unveil the "Villas" section of the resort.

Based on the naming at current resorts, it looks like "Lodge" and "Resort" monickers are mutually exclusive.

So in the Disney / DVC hotel lexicon, Disney tends to end (or occasionally start) the name of a deluxe or DVC with a descriptor. Resort, Villas, Lodge, etc. Villas is the most common one. But there are other Resorts and at least another Lodge. But in the Disney scheme, I think it's mostly pick one word from the list.
