Polka Dots

Dd7 asked me this morning

"Mom, did I ever have polka dots?"
"Polka Dots?"
"Yeah, polka dots"
"Polka dots on what? Shirts? Pants?"

"No, Mom! On my body? A boy in my class has polka dots on his face and body. Did I ever have them?"

"Ohhhhhhhhhh, Chicken Pox???"
"Yeah, that's what I meant, but they look like polka dots."

Out of the mouths of babes!

When DS4 was 3 he had a problem going #2. I had to get a mini enima for his age and give it to him. This is how his conversation went after that experience...

DS: Mommy, when you, when you go back to the store again, don't pick up any of those violins.

Me: You mean vaseline?

DS: Yeah, those things. Don't get them anymore.

He actually meant the enima but didn't know the name of it. He had me laughing so hard that day!

Along the same lines...

When DS was maybe 4, he couldn't stop vomiting. I took him to the doctor and she gave me a suppository for him and said to try to keep giving him liquids, but if he still couldn't hold anything down, to give him the suppository. When we were at the counter waiting to pay he looked up at me (holding the large suppository) and said, "Mommy, I don't sink I can swallow that!" I thought the receptionist was gonna wet her pants.
