Thats what I suggested earlier. One thread for the right, one thread for the left and they can all duke it out there.

At any given time there are 15-20 political threads on the front page, compared to maybe 7 of the cliques.

I don't know. All I know is that I've cut way back on my posting on political threads because of it. I still read them but I don't post on them much at all. I found it was just making me upset and life's just to short, ya know?

I don't need to ignore anyone. I just chose not to read a post I feel is going to be mean. I just want to understand why the people who post on the political threads insist on being so mean to each other. As if nobody can have a different view then theirs and their candidate is by far not a liar, cheat or human. They are politicians after all.

For a while, I thought this was a board dedicated to juvenile political barbs that just happened to be on a Disney site.

Politics is a bloody sport. It's not for the weak kneed or the faint of heart. Some of the sparring is in good fun.....some is vile. Many of us are passionate in our beliefs. It does get out of hand sometimes. There are some, I think, that come on the boards to pick a fight. They hope someone will take the bait. I think the goal is to shut down the thread.

We all need a safehaven....a place to vent without fear of reprisal....but... If we didn't have any debate....we would never learn anything....never grow. Be patient. Hopefully, this will all be over in a couple of months.
