Policy on changing custom to intimate?

DH and I never had a real wedding, so we are considering a Fairy Tale vow renewal for our 10th anniversary. We only plan to invite immediate family, which would be about 30-35 guests. But if not everyone can come, we may only have 20 guests, at which point I would go for an intimate wedding. What is there policy on this? Can you start out with a custom and then change if necessary?

An Intimate Wedding is 18 guests maximum plus Bride and Groom. I think DFTW are pretty flexible on changing though?

Yes they are.
I went down a custom route and then changed to an intimate. I would ask the timescale for changing though, they may not allow it last minute.

I hope that things work out well for you during this planning. I went to your webpage and your family is beautiful. That baby girl is just gorgeous! I have to tell you that almost 20 years ago DH and I honeymooned in Hot Springs Village. It's such a beautiful place. Some of those lookouts are just breath-taking!

is the opposite true? are you able to change from an intimate to a custom within a reasonable amount of time? anyone heard of anyone doing that?

I changed from an Intimate to a custom about 3 months before my wedding. They are more than happy to take your money, and can plan a custom wedding in a very short amount of time. You just might not get your first choice in locations.

Hey Dallas Lady! It is great to see someone else from Plano planning a Disney FTVR. I would say to talk to your SM and WP to see what the timeframe is. You have to have all of the money for the custom based on your guest list to Disney 30 days prior to the event. If you need anything, drop me a line.
