Police discounts?

We just got back from Disney last week. I have just recently heard that there might be a police discount out there. Are there any besides the Swan/Dolphin resorts? Those are the only two I have seen possibly offering discounted rates. Also, besides resorts, are there any police related discounts?

The only current one i know of is swan/dolphin. However you might have heard about the hero's getaway plan that happened in april 2002. After sept 11, disney offered a 2 week peroid Anyone from the Police/Fire/Ems from nyc could go and stay onsite and get into all the parks for free. If you had a 8 days room booked you and all the members(limit up to 5) got free park hoppers for the same lenght time. From what i'm told many police/Fire/ems workers from many different cites besides nyc tried and were allowed to book this with no problem. A lot of my guys from the FDNY here in nyc did go and had a blast. That is the only one i know of. Check with your union, i know the union of the FDNY offers very good discounts on off site hotels and discounts with car rentals as well as many other places in orlando.Also some time ago jetblue and american airlines used to give you $10 off any round trip fare anywhere if you were police/Fire/Ems or military. Since the tax increase after sept 11, i was told they stopped doing that. If never hurts to call and just ask and try, so give it a shot the worst they can tell you is no.

they will have info there. I believe and dont quote me, that it is the same that nurses and teachers get- which is a great rate. I am so envious. If I could get that rate I would stay there!

i dont see any quotes for the police /teacher discounts. just says there is a discount. do you know the discounted prices? i read somewhere else that police get a standard room for 155 but as i went through the process, after i was at the checkout screen, it was over 200/night after discount applied

It depends on what season(value, hoilday,peak seasons) you plan to visit. I know in value season i was quoted a room over the phone for $139 a night, on thier website the rate was $169/night. Try to call them up. If its holiday or peak season over $200/ night might be a discount for that time frame.When are you looking to go?????
