points went DOWN!!!

I have checked into a 3 day cruise, just me and DH, for 12/4. It would cost 142 points for a cat. 11.
Since that is holiday time, etc. I checked into one for 2/5/04. This would be 124 points for the two of us! It went form 71 points to 62 points for value season, cat. 11!
How is Feb. weather on a cruise? I was also thinking that while December is certainly stressful, I have to cook Thanksgiving dinner this year and put up my 2 trees and I'd rather be home--and by February I'm about ready to kill some of my students, so maybe that is a better time for stress relief.

We have gone on 2 mid-February cruises and had great weather both times. 2001 was a little sunnier than 2002, but the temps were warm (not too hot) on both trips. Perfect weather at CC both times! I'm sure you will have a great time no matter when you go!!

We went on our first DCL cruise ('01) over President's Day and it was nice. Not hot, but warm. If you start hanging out on the cruise forum, you'll notice alot of people talking about flying in the night before. In February (and after this past winter) I would recommend that cushion of time!

Great news about the lower points! DH and I took our second DCL cruise without the kids this past March - it was our first use of our points! Without DVC, we probably would have never had the motivation to go away without the kids, but now we have had a taste and we think we'll do it more often!

Overall the points went up but there are a few specific situations where they wen't down.
