Points transfer question...

I am new to this and want to make sure I understand it before I go thru with a transaction.

I need to aquire more points - we are looking to take the grandparents because we'll need a 2BR.

We have a Feb use year - if I'm going to acquire points from another DVC member, is expiration date the only thing to be concerned about?

If you are planning to make the reservation more than 7 months in advance at a home resort, you will need to find someone who is willing to transfer points from the same home resort.

As long as the points you will receive could be used by the sender to make the reservation you want, you will be fine.

My advice is to tell the CM doing the transfer what you plan to do with the points (to make sure he/she agrees that the points coming to you will work for that purpose). Then make the actual reservation as soon as you can after getting the points.

If you will be making the reservation after the 7 month window opens, it doesn't matter which home resort the points come from. You only need make sure that the points will be valid for your dates.
