Points reallocation

I'm going to make a reservation for next September using points from my first contract, a mix of banked and current UY points.
But I'm also buying a second contract that won't close before my 7 months window will open. This contract (if it passes ROFR) will have a lot of banked points. It has the same UY so it will be in the same membership.

Is it correct that after I'll close I'll be able to call MS and ask to reallocate the points of my reservation? I'll ask to use the banked points from the new contract in order to free current UY points of the first one, so I'll bank them into the next UY.

I have reallocated points multiple times - we have 4 separate contracts, and can't seem to plan far enough in advance to know for sure which resort's points we should use when we book at the 7 month mark.

Make sure you feel comfortable with the knowledge level of the CM you get on the phone. I have had to ask for a supervisor several times, after the 1st CM told me that I couldn't allocate points in a way that I knew I could. I think supervisors have more leeway with the computer system than regular CM's.

I've done it a couple of times w/o any problem.

I did call once to do it with a reservation at VGC and the CM told me I couldn't do it because there were no open rooms. She said they had to have a room open so they basically canceled the existing reservation and rebooked a new one using the points I wanted to change to. In fact, she told me flat out MS hadn't been allowed to do reallocations for years - it was against policy. Yet I've had it done.

I have no idea if that was true or not. This was before online booking so I have no idea if the times I did have it done (also at VGC) it went smoothly because there were rooms open, or if the CM the last time just didn't know how to do it.

I had the same experience as the two previous posters. I was told by the MS CM who answered my call that I could not reallocate some late-banked points into an existing reservation. I insisted (politely) that I was certain that other members have been allowed to do this. She put me on hold for several minutes, then came back on the line to tell me it was all set. I checked my points online and everything was done correctly.

Maybe. If it's the same home resort you likely will be OK. If it's a different home resort you will likely not be able to reallocate to a home resort reservation. You could possible make new reservations (or portions) and cancel existing days and link them accomplishing the same thing though.
