Not sure where this would go...I did a search and I'm not getting the exact information that I need.
We are planning on going to Disney California. Can you use your DVC points towards a "suite" as opposed to a basic hotel room?... With 2 kids and another on the way, I can't see staying in a basic room!....

Thanks!

the standard room can have up to 5 people, i just booked DLH for easter 2006. I did ask about a suite since there will be 5 of us and was told if i wanted a suite i would need to call DLH and book with cash. we can only use points for standard room at DLH, DCH, or DPH. right now dvc lowered the points for us for DLH only until the 50th celebration is over. when are you going? it all depends on when you go during value or holiday depends on how many points per night.

We are travelling to Disneyland in Sept with kids and grandkids and MS quoted 65 points per night for a 2 BR suite at the DLH. You should call MS and ask for a quote on the # of points needed for the suite you want at the hotel you want. Good luck -- Suzanne

Wow , I cant believe MS told me no, that is very weird. I will be calling MS tomorrow and checking it out again ! Thank you ! ;)

I just booked a 1BR suite at the GC today, lowest point season... 94 points a night. The rates I was given for 1BRs at the other resorts were 50 points a night at DL and 65 at Paradise Pier.

I was just curious regarding the points/suite situation. We are supposed to go to Disneyworld in December but might need to cancel... I was thinking about Disneyland for May 2006.

Is there a point chart for that?... No, right?... Do you have to call MS regarding this?

Which hotel would you choose out the the three... DLH, PPH, GC.....

Also, I have a 5 and 2 year old.... and also found out I am having another!

Thanks!

GC is best, DLH second, PPH last.

There is a point chart for standard and concierge rooms, but for suites, you have to call MS.

We chose the GC because of the private entrance to DCA and the theming. It is the most expensive. DLH is the least expensive, followed by PP.

I would go with either the GC or the DLH. I have not stayed at GC but that location is incredible. You literally step out into California Adventure. However that location is only for DCA not Disneyland which is where you will probably spend most of your time. The walk to Disneyland is really no big deal from any of the Disneyland Resort Hotels, 10-15 minutes. The Disneyland Hotel is great, they have a Peter Pan themed "Neverland Pool" that is really neat and would appeal to your kids. The rooms are very spacious, much more so than the GC ones. I have heard many comments on the small size of the GC rooms, don't know about the suites. Also have seen comments regarding long walks from the elevators to the rooms at the GC. We have stayed at the DLH 5 times in two years and love it. Paradise Pier is nice too but can't compare to DLH in my opinion. The pool is very unexciting except for a slide even your 5 year old might be too little to go on. The DLH is the most Disneyish of the 3 hotels, sometimes Goofy is in the lobby, that got our family reunion trip off to a great start with my 4 year old nieces! They have very cool pixie dust wallpaper border that glows in the dark if you leave the drapes open during the day.

Thanks Amy, Dan, Karen, Ken.... I hope I didn't forget anyone....

I really appreciate all the info.
