points in holding

First time question lol. I rented out my points thru Davids. Somehow, I have 24 points in holding. Like they must have left a day early or something. I didn't cancel it but it shows a cancelled reservation there. I got paid for it from Davids so everything on my end must have been fine. So my question is, if the ppl who were using the points cancelled a day while they were there, is that how I'd have gotten those points in holding? And how long to I have to use them?

Holding points can only be used for a NEW reservation that's made 60 days or less from the check in date. They will expire at the end of the UY they are in if not used. They can't be banked or borrowed.

Correct about when they expire.
I have a Dec UY and currently have 2 points in holding that will expire on 11/30/22.

Give it a few weeks to make sure it’s real. Sometimes a resort will mess with your account and eventually those points get taken back.

I feel like this is the universes way of telling me I need to plan another trip lol. Can I check out on 12/1? 11/30 would count as the last night of the trip.

Yes, check out date can be on or before 12/01/2022.

It doesn’t have to be 60 days before that. It just needs to be for any trip made 60 days or less from check in.

For example, if you wanted to go in June, you can use them as long as you are booking in April or later.

If you already have another trip booked you can have member services switch out those points with the points in holding when you're within 60 days of the trip. We cancelled our MLK day long weekend trip because of omicron and our points went into holding. Cancelled the trip while on the phone with MS and they said that they could apply those points in holding immediately to our Presidents' Day weekend trip.

You can do it! Just stalk, you will find something. I usually see a lot of movement a week prior to 31 days and then about two weeks before a specific date.
