Points in 2017 use year

Hi all,

i have two questions if thats ok?

First....

I have a Feb use year and currently my points sit at:

Feb 2015 - 0

Feb 2016 - 3

Feb 2017 - 250

I am planning a stay and wish to check in on Dec 11th 2016 for which I will borrow and use my 2017 points.

Do i have to wait until 1 Feb 2016 to make this reservation or can I make it on 11 Jan as usual?

I don't want to go too far on the booking system incase I accidentally go too far.

Secondly...

I am planning to book at 11 months at my home resort and try and switch at the 7 month booking window.

The resort I am planning to move to will cost me less vacation points than my 11 month window - will the extra points (if I am able to move resorts) return to my 2016 use year or will they go back to their 2017 use year? I'm thinking that the answer to this is that borrowing is final and they will stay in 2016 in which case I will book an extra night to use them as I don't want to loose them and as we are from the UK its not possible to use them on another stay.

You can book on the 11th. The system will allow you to borrow the necessary points while you make the reservation.

You're correct that they will remain in your 2016 use year and must be used by Feb. 1st. How many points less is your desired room? The 3 2016 points should be the first to free up, so those could be banked if you change before your banking deadline.
