I'm new we haven't even closed yet but I'm already planning a trip. I have two questions - if you are staying longer than a week how do you figure your points per stay. For instance we are wanting to stay from a Thursday to the following Saturday (9 nights). Also what happens if your stay is over 2 seasons? Thanks.

DVC is not a weekly timeshare, but a points driven membership with each day individually charged for points.

You can click on the points charts on the top of this board to get an idea of the point allocation and requirements. :)

Weekly points are the same as adding the days of the week together.

For instance - SSR for Adventure season 1 bedroom is 182 points (Sun-Thurs 20 a night (100) and Fri-Sat 41 a night (82)).

So you would just add up the points for whichever season you want and the days that you want to get your total points. Hope this helps.

Just tally up the number of points per night based on travel dates and how many Sun - Thurs (weekday nights) are in your stay and how many Fri & Sat (weekend nights) are in your stay.

In your example Thurs - Sat for total of 9 nights :
3 nights are weekend nights (Fri, Sat & Friday again) and
6 nights are weekday nights (Thurs, Sun, Mon, Tues, Wed & Thursday again).

If you cross seasons you need to tally number of nights that will fall in each season ( crossing seasons will result in less or more points required in one season ) - -ie: if 3 nights fall in one season total that and then total 6 nights that fall in second season.

Hope this helped.

The member website also has a points calculator.
