Points for Disneyland

Do I have these points required for Disneyland right?
Grand California - 29 pts/night
Paradise Pier - 25 pts/night
Disneyland Hotel - 23 pts/night

Also, are the points going to stay at that rate per night or is the lowering of points to stay at Disneyland just a short term promotional thing?

Yes, those are the per night point requirments for Jan 3 - Apr 6, Apr 23 - June 29, Sep 3 - Nov 21 and Nov 26 - Dec 21. Points are higher for other dates.

The point chart currently listed on the Members' website is good through December 31, 2006.

Late last year (or maybe it was earlier this year), the points for the DLR hotels were lowered from what they had been as part of the 50th anniversary celebration. We'll have to wait and see what the points are for next year - Personally, I fully expect them to increase.

Actually, I think they may stay the same. There are a lot of west coast members now that they have been promoting at DL. It behooves Disney to entice them to stay at DL, where they will be gettin more of their vacation dollar (true they may not stay as long as they would at WDW, but they generally are paying relatively little in transportation costs to get there).

Until there is a DL DVC, I'd expect similar rates, but who knows until the charts come out!

When I purchased my guide said the DLH points were for the 50th celebration and would go back to regular in October, after the celebration, and the GC points were lowered through the contract with the hotel and so the "new" lower points are "normal" and will remain.

The website does state that the DLH points are good through the end of the year, so I am not sure how reliable the guide was. I do hope they stay low.

I think the point allocation is reasonable for DLH and GC (obviously not as good as DVC), at least for the dates I am looking at. A bit high for PP though.

Thanks, I couldn't get on the site yet because I just joined and don't have any pin number. But Wow, That's alot of points! Have to rethink the time I want to go.

I wish the points would stay the same after the celebration is over as I feel it's more in line with what you could get paying cash (especially if one person in the party has an AP).
