Points expiring 11/30, can we check in on 11/29??

I know it's cutting it close but we are going to lose points if we don't use them by 11/30. We have a trip booked for October but if CT doesn't lift the FL travel ban by then, we won't be able to go.

If we are going to lose them anyway, and we book a week starting 11/29, can we use those points for the week? Or does travel need to be completed by 11/30?

Unfortunately, no. For the nights of 11/29 and 11/30 you can use the points in your 2019 UY, but all remaining nights will have to be points from your 2020 UY.

Your points are good thru the night of 11/30. IOW the latest checkout day would be 12/01. It doesn’t matter when you check in. It’s the checkout day that counts.

You may want to call MS and see if there is any chance there is going to be any extension of the time for the use of points in your situation, and explain the reason for your inquiry is because of state quarantine rules of Connecticut and Florida.

I kind of thought this wouldn’t work. I’m still hoping beyond hope that FL gets better by October and CT lifts the ban. If not, we’ll have to look into RCI, I guess.
