if you have points at 2 home resorts, such as BLT and AKL. Can you combine your points at the 11 month window for one of the resorts or do you have to split your stay at 11 months and then try at 7 months to combine them to one resort?

No, you can only use the points for that resort at 11 months. You would have to book nights at both resorts and then change to one or the other at 7 months.

Instead of doing split stays, another option is to lternate the resort you stay at each year.

For example, say you own 100 points at each. This year, bank your AKV points and borrow your BLT. That gives you 200 BLT points for this year for your entire stay. Next year, you would have 200 AKV points to use.

This allows you to book an entire stay at one resort at 11 months.

Good luck!

OK. Question. We have 210 points at BWV and are looking to buy 50 more point at BCV. Can all 260 be booked at the 11 month mark for BCV?

No, only the 50 points are available at the 11 month window at BCV. You could book a stay at 11 months at BWV and then try to switch at the 7 month window, or you could bank and borrow the 50 points every third year and have 150 available at 11 months every 3rd year.

The time period from 11 months from check in until 7 months plus one day from check in is the home resort booking window. During that time, only "home resort" points can be used to make a reservation so you would need BCV points to book BCV, VWL points to book VWL, BWV points to book BWV, etc. Your BWV points cannot be used to book BCV (or any other DVC resort other than BWV) until you are within 7 months of your check-in date.

With a 50-pt BCV contract you could bank and/or borrow your BCV points to accumulate up to 100 BCV points to use every other year or up to 150 BCV points to use every third year if you want to make a BCV reservation in the home resort booking window. You could also transfer in BCV points from another BCV member.
