Pointless Poll: Do you use your top sheet?

I never even put it on the bed, it's more trouble than it's worth. I do sometimes use it as a bedskirt, but never to cover up with. So do you use yours?

Yeah because I don't wash my blankets as often as the sheet so like to keep them cleaner. Haven't been able to convince one of my boys to use his top sheet, though.

I'm so glad I'm not the only one! I always felt like some kind of freak. We've gotten to where we won't even buy the whole set of sheets, but just the fitted sheet and two pillow cases. DH and I hate having the sheet & blanket tucked in and it won't stay over us properly without being tucked in, so there's no sense in it for us.

Oh, and we're such slobs... neither one of us believe in making beds! It's just going to get messed up again at bedtime anyway! Before that, even, because we'll go up there to read or watch TV throughout the day.

I have NEVER used one. If I ever got a whole sheet set (which I rarely do)...I just fold them and put them in the closet. I have, although, lately dragged them out for "blankets" this past summer when it was hot.

I too think it is too much trouble and also, which I know most will find this weird but DH and I use seperate blankets as well....so a top sheet would never work anyway....I just like to have my own blanket to "roll up in"....hasn't caused any problems all these years either....

LOL, we use seperate blankets too! That is the main reason we don't use one, along with ease of making the bed. We actually had to share a blanket last night because his wasn't dry yet, and we barely slept- it was an all night tug of war! I will also use only a sheet on super hot summer nights, but usually I use the same blanket all year round. Too funny how much we have in common!

Lisa- I'm currently living in Warren, though I hope to get out soon! Which tag were you referring to? I never close the bathroom door either, BTW, and even if I tried, my son would come busting in anyway (this excludes of course those ahem, certain times...)

DH and I don't even use the same blankets because he steals them (and then complains it's too hot).

No. As someone else said, I never even put top sheets on the bed. I like to have a soft, warm blanket next to my skin. Ever since I was little, sheets always made me feel cold.

I thought my two nieces were just plain lazy when they slept on top of their sheets, blankets and bedspreads so they wouldn't have to make their bed.

Now my 12 yr old son tells me that he sleeps on top of his top sheet. He was sleeping on top of the blanket and covering with the bedspread but I told him he couldn't do that because I don't wash the blankets every week.

I can't imagine not sleeping between the sheets. It just doesn't seem right. I never even imagined that adults would do this.

I must be out of touch.

But I do like my flannel sheets in the winter time with my Hudson Bay blanket.

I have always been the odd one out
in my family, and also with DH,
as I have never been able to stand a topsheet.
I love to just wrap up in my comforter - year 'round .
