Point Transfer Wanted: Need 4 Points

Hello fellow DVCers,

I have a trip planned for May of 2009 and I need only 4 more points to complete my reservation. I know it is a small amount but would someone be willing to transfer these points to my account? I could pay via Paypal if that helps, and I have done transfers before and have found it to be a very easy process.

Can anyone help me out?

I am considering purchasing DVC and have been reading these forums trying to understand the practical side of owning DVC.

When I read the title to this post my thought was good luck it is not going to happen. This was based on my understanding that you are allowed only one transfer per year. My original plan was to buy a small 50 pt contract, then bank, borrow and rent/transfer points.

I think this is great. It gives me hope that I might be able to rent/transfer points if I need them in the future.

Why would anyone use their one transfer per year in order to transfer only 4 points or any number of small points?

To try and answer your question, yes it might be a long-shot, but with all ever growing base of DVC members, someone may have a few points that they would be willing to transfer. Some may do it because of points that are expiring or others merely out of goodwill.

Regarding "using up" your one per year transfer option, it is my opinion that the vast majority of DVC owners rarely ever utilize this functionality, and use their allotted points for their own vacation purposes.

.....and since we are on the subject, I am still looking for those 4 points if a fellow member can help me out.

We happen to have exactly 4 points that will expire May 31. How do transfers work? We are new members and have never done a transfer before.
