Point Transfer Wanted: I need ONE point!?

Hi,
I am in need of one point. I am waitlisted for animal kingdom lodge. I have that night booked at bcv, but will cancel if my waitlist comes through. Akl is more points than bcv. I have 1 point left, but akl is 2 poins more than bcv. I tried to buy one but you can only buy one if you don't have enough points for a reservation ----with availability----not for a waitlist. I can pay for the point or transfer it back. Thanks

If you are a member, you can buy one point directly from DVD.

Are you all borrowed out? If not, isn't that the easy route? If you don't have any points to borrow, how did they let you wait list? Very strange.

One point is going to be hard to get as a transfer

If it is not a busy time just cancel your BCV, book a room with the same number of points as the AKV room (by buying the extra point) and then cancel it and waitlist for the AKV room. It sound like MS has not really thought this whole process through, talk to a floor supervisior and see if this option will work.

Thanks everyone! My problem is I need two points, but I have 1. 2009-1point, 2010-0, and 2011-153. So since the date of my waitlist is aug29 ( my use year is Sept) I have a problem. I can't buy from dvc unless I have a reservation and am short points--but it cannot be a waitlist. Its a such a shame because it is AKL concierge. I didn't have a problem until I called member services and asked them what was happening to my waitlist--was I being passed over because I didn't have the points. I was assured no, that they would call me and I would have to make a decision. But, since they knew about the "situation" I have until Monday to figure it out. I was blocked from thisboard for a couple of day and was on adifferent board and found out that each member can only do one point transfer per use year. So, I think I will cancel akl. I will have to rent out the points. Thanks for your responses.

But if your waitlist gets fulfilled they will then at that time just charge you for extra points that you need from DVC, did they ask for a credit card number in advance ? It does sound confusing, I hope it all works out for you & there aren't any glitches. Hope you'll post back how MS sorts this out, because we may try to add day to our August trip and may be in similar situation.

I tried to take your advice...I called and committed to buying 1 point for 15. They wouldn't take do it. Even if I was willing to waste the 1 point that I buy from them. Member services said that I wouldn't be passed over for my waitlist??So I'm confused too. Everytime I call they say something a little bit different. I also don't know how I got on the waitlist without enough points. I'll keep you posted.

THANK YOU!! I will return the favour--even if I don't borrow the point from you. I am still struggling with cancelling the night of the 29th--17points. Then I lose my 18 points--or hoping for the best that my waitlist will come in . That is the nicest offer. I will keep you posted. You do know that you can do only one transfer per uy. I will either pay for the point or return it whenever you want. Thanks very much.
