Point transfer question

My SIL plans to take a cruise using points. Her mother also a DVC member will be transfering some points to her to pay for one of her children. I need a clarification on exactly when they can do the transfer. My SIL will be booking the cruise at the 11 month window, Jan 2005. Can she book 11 months from the start or end of the cruise?
Her mother's UY is Feb. so she will be transferring her Feb. 05 points. Can she transfer these points in Jan05 for use after Feb 05 or does she have to wait until she actually has the points to be able transfer them?

i think she can book at the 11 month from the start of the cruise date. i am thinking because your using a certain amount of points for the whole cruise , not like using certain amount of points per day, adding the points per day together to get your ressies.

yes, her mother can transfer the points in jan. 2005 for the daughters ressies for the cruise, as long as those points were never banked before, to use them the following year.


banked and borrow points cannot be transferred

and if the daughter has not transferred points out during her use year, otherwise she would have to wait until the following use year to transfer in.

and as long as her mother has not transferred in points during the current use year, again they would have to wait until the following use year.

you can only transfer in or out but not both during the same use year, and can do either unlimited times
