Point Transfer Question

Hello. Sorry if this is not the right site for this post.

I am curious as to just how point transferring works. I assume it's simple. For example, one member posts his/her desire to transfer 80 points, another party says he/she wants those 80 points, and Disney is contacted to complete the transfer (obviously there is a financial transaction made between the two parties). After the transfer, the buyer sees those 80 points in his/her account.

Is this all there is to it? Seems like a nice deal if you'd rather not rent those points out or if you need just a few more points for a particual stay.

But you are limited to either one transfer in or out a year.
