Point&Shoot, Looking at Canon's under $200

I've been looking at cheap, but good, point and shoot cameras. I'd like to keep the price under $200. The two I'm considering are the Canon PowerShot Elph 340 HS and the Canon PowerShot SX600 HS 16MP Digital Camera. Help? Suggestions??

Looking at Amazon it looks like the SD600 has been replaced with the SD1200IS model, also the SD600 and SD1200 seem to be priced at $350?

Anyway the 340 is probably the one you want - the SD600 is a 12 year old camera and the SD1200 is a 5 year old one - the 340 is from this year and has better zoom/resolution and the newer sensor.

I'd also take a look at the Powershot SX500 which is currently listed at $250 on sale. It's a little over your budget but it will have a better lens and better zoom capabilities then the pocket elph (although I'm fond of the pocket elph's too)

Thank you for the suggestion of the SX500. I'll definitely check that one out.

I made a mistake by posting the SD600... I meant the Canon PowerShot SX600 HS 16MP Digital Camera.
