Point Expiration Help

Can anyone answer this please:
My UY is August. I thought the current UY points expire at the beginning of the next UY...Example: 50 points left for Aug 07 UY would expire Aug 1, 2008...MS told me yesterday the points don't expire until the end of the following month, is that right (so the 50 expire Sept 30, 2008).

That's interesting. I thought that they would expire at midnight on 7/31/2008.

my point year is June - here is what the computer says for me

"This Use Year's remaining Vacation Points for Member ID number 'member number' will expire on the last business day of May 2008. "

so you were correct.

lots of the new MS aren't as well trained as the older ones.

call MS back - when she/he answers if they have been there for one year or less - ask to speak to someone more experience. If they sound upset - tell me you have been given wrong once and want someone who has been there a while to tell if this is true or not.

sometimes they change the system and tell us and the computer afterwards.

If you have an August UY, your 2007 points expire on July 31, 2008.

The expiration date MS gave you (Sep 30, 2008) would apply to an October Use Year.

It's a good thing that you came to the REAL experts with this question! I agree with others...they will expire on the last day of July.

I have an August use year and can confirm that your 2007 use year points will expire on July 31, 2008.

You can bank up to 100% of your annual allotment if you do it by the end of March. So if you can't use your 2007 points by the end of July, 2008, be sure to call MS to bank them before March 31, 2008.
