I just looked at points for 2010 at animal kingdom lodge. The conceierge points were all raised!! I thought if they raised in one place they had to lower somewhere else? The concierge points were raised across the board. How can they do that? I bought 26 points for 2 night in value season. That stay is now 15 points a night..

Where did you see this? First of all, are you sure it isn't just for the specific dates you are looking at? Easter holiday floats and thus the high season floats for that as well. I

If you mean they are changing points accross the board for all concierge stays all times of the year, where did you see this information? Did you get the new planner?

They can allocate points in other areas of AKV to go down and then they could raise concierge for all seasons and still stay within the "rule" of the same number of total points. If it's raised in Concierge, then it was also lowered in some other catagory or season.

The overall point chart for a resort can not change. They can increase all concierge points, as long as there is a balance in non-concierge, so the points required for the entire resort (and Jambo/Kidani are legally one resort) do not change. I imagine it may lead to greater conceirge availability...but then again, it won't be worth it the points to many people, including myself. I was wanting to try to book concierge just once...as it would have been at 7 months, and just wanted it for the "experience", but I think I'll be just as happy in a Kidani room, if I ever decide not to stay at OKW. Nearly 40 stays at OKW, never traded to another DVC in all these years.

Diane, all 2010 point charts have been adjusted. Higher weekdays, lower weekends. Overall, at OKW, not much impact, but still a change.

Thank you. Since we are new I had forgotten about the ability to change the points as long as they stay the same for the total chart. They are messing with my three year planning system Guess I'll have to "drop back and punt" as the changes come along.

The links to the charts on member website are all messed up. The 2009 vero beach goes to boardwalk, boardwalk has no charts, some of the 2010 go to a random DVC page, etc. AKV looked correct.

So I just went to look at the changes and I can view the 2009 rates but I can't the 2010's.They won't pull up. Weird.... I hope its not too much of a change for my dates .....

They must be just loading them or working on it -- one minute a chart is there, 2 minutes later it's gone. And vice-versa!

I was able to grab the points for BCV, SSR and VWL before they all seemed to go "poof" for a planned trip in January 2010. It's all good for me for that trip -it's a 3 nighter with 2 weekend nights, so it's saving me points. One of the resorts, think it was a 1 BR at SSR went down 7 points for weekend nights, from 41 to 34. That's a big dip - wonder where the corresponding increase went to?

I can tell you a 1 BR and studio for January 1-31 (what is that called - Adventure Season?) - the cheapest time. If they don't change anything, it was:

studio - weekdays 12 points/night, Fri/Sat 18 points/night

1 BR - weekdays 23 points/night, Fri/Sat 34 points/night

Of course, you'd want to verify that yourself, unfortunately I didn't save the document, just wrote down what I needed.

I'll trade - what's the AKV studio savannah view for January 1-31? Thanks.

AKV Conceierge weekends went down:

Studio:

Adventure: 27 to 22
Choice: 28 to 24
Dream: 31 to 26
Magic: 35 to 29
Premier: 45 to 38

1 bedroom & 2 bedroom weekends also went down considerably.
