Point Accumulation

I am in the process of closing on a DVC membership at HH. I realize that some properties are "closed," and therefore wonder how some members accumulate points. Does DVC make it a habit of contacting current membrs for add-ons or do members search the re-sale market? What is the best means of doing this at a discount? I am interested in accumulating more points than I currently will have, and look forward to your assistance.

You're options are to add on through DVC or buy resale. For the sold out resorts, resale is the only way. One of the best options for adding on at DVC is bying 25 points at a time with cash. Save money every month and then when you have enough, buy 25 points. More points and no finance charges. The only down side to this is that if you go to sell, these are all independent contracts.
