POFQ...

I really want this resort to open before my November trip. this is my home away from home. out of 5 trips we have stayed there 3 times. anyone else love this resort as much as I do?

Yes, we do:)
We have stayed there 3 times so far. We usually stayed at POR, which we also love. But due to mobility issues, we have found that POFQ helps with that. I love the layout of the resort. All buildings are pretty close to the main building. And you can take a beautiful stroll to POR, along the river, which is very relaxing. So, I guess POFQ will be our home resort. I wish disney would hurry up and open POR and FQ. I don't understand the thinking that they won't fill up at this time. I think alot of people are waiting for them to open to visit. For us, the resort is a big part of our visit, so we will wait.

Our absolute FAVORITE! Even over the deluxe resorts we have stayed at. It is perfect for me and my family. We are going in June and very sad we can't stay at POFQ.

Me!!! Have an early November strictly resort only stay and FQ is our fav for this time of the year resort only stay. Hoping we hear something soon!

We are staying at CSR next month but after that I’m waiting till POR and/or POFQ opens. I love them both, they are both my favorites and hope they will open this year.

I really enjoyed staying there. I love how small it is and the fact that is has a boat to DS. I have never stayed anywhere that you didn't have to walk a mile to get from point A-B.

Sorry but POFQ is one of the smallest and most compact resorts so expect to be one of the last or the last to open. Think social distancing....

Everyone who wants the vaccine should be able to get it by mid-summer.

They should be planning to be close to full capacity by the fall IMO.

That may be true for the US, but probably not for some other countries. I don't foresee international travel to really come back until next year.
So I'm thinking POFQ won't open until some time in 2022.

But there are still those who don't want the vaccine that could slow progress.

If they want to get it the hard way/natural way, that's fine - but I don't think there are enough of them to stress the medical system.

So the pandemic will be over, regardless.

I agree! Our original plan was to be at POFQ for the 50th. Our finally had to move us as Disney made it clear it wasn't going to open. Basically with Disney getting as much as 35% of guests from international travelers there isn't the demand until they start coming back. With a couple of the big rides not being ready by the 50th we just decided not to go.

We were originally booked for POFQ in January 2021 :(

I am thinking of rebooking for January 2022. Between CBR and CSR what would be the better choice if POFQ stays closed? It will be 2 adults and 2 kids (4 and 6).

Disney is keeping resorts closed because there isn’t the demand right now for them and they don’t know when that demand is going to come back in full. To the extent we hear of resorts that are booked in full that’s largely because, of those that are open, they are still imposing capacity restrictions on the resorts. Once those capacity restrictions are lifted (which will likely happen before many of the international guests that WDW relies on are able to come), Disney will once again have a ton of rooms that they won’t be able to fill for awhile.

I honestly see POFQ and POR among the last resorts to reopen of the whole group (depending on how long the rest of the All-Stars refurbs take). I think they are going to take some time to rethink POR to make it less problematic and POFQ is just too small to make a difference either way. They have a ton of moderate capacity rn with CBR and CSR that they probably aren’t even fully using.
