Well, we just got back last night! I was pleasantly surprised with our moderate stay. It was way different from our GF- RPC stays, but it was still very nice!
The main thing I missed was the balcony! I am an early riser so it's nice to have a place to go to when everyone else is still sleeping. I found that we spend more time enjoying the resort when we are at GF-- this was a lot faster paced trip without as much time at the resort. I know the deluxe rooms are a bit bigger, but honestly I didn't really much notice the difference. Maybe it was because we really only used the room as a place to sleep at night.
The food court was nice, but I do think the quality of food didn't match Gasparilla's at GF. Breakfast was good, and the beignets were great! Dinner was not so wonderful... just ok.
I do like the new flooring (we were in a refurbished room), BUT..... I found that Mousekeeping didn't touch it AT ALL! I noticed that there were some bits of lint and things that stayed in the EXACT same spots the entire 6 nights we were there. I have never wanted a broom and dustpan so bad in all my life! I looked under the bed yesterday before we checked out to look for anything that might have fallen underneath and I was SHOCKED! It looks like the new floors were installed and all the furniture was moved back in PRIOR to the floors being cleaned up of all the installation mess. It was pretty nasty underneath the bed. I would have thought they would have cleaned the floors good prior to moving furniture back in, but apparently not. The first night I showered, my feet were black from all the dirt left on the floors. I'm really sad that Mousekeeping treats the new flooring as being one less thing to clean
The building was nice and quiet and the resort grounds are lovely. Enjoyed the boat ride over to Disney Springs.
