POFQ worries

Hi everyone,
My husband, 13 year old daughter,9 year old daughter and I will be experiencing Disney for the first time. We will be staying at the POFQ for a week next month. I have a concern. I believe the beds are full or double. I'm concerned none of us will sleep well. DH and I normally sleep in a queen bed and DDs sleep in their own beds. Will we be uncomfortable? If I buy an inflatable bed will we be squished at night? I'm excited about our trip, but I keep having this nagging worry! We have saved for this and I don't want us to be uncomfortable. Any help would be appreciated. Thank you so much!

You'll be fine. My DW and I usually sleep in a queen bed. We've never had a problem sleeping in a double at Disney. Besides, by the time you get ready for bed, you'll be worn out and fall right to sleep.

Enjoy your vacation.

Hi! We also have a queen bed and the girls have their own as well. We did great at FQ and thought the beds were really comfortable. Of course, as the previous poster said, you'll be too tired to care! Have fun - no worries! :flower:

We have the same problem.

We are used to a king size bed here at home. DH and I cannot sleep well in a double at all, it's horrible. We didn't sleep through the night at the Dolphin for 3 days straight.

So, we divided up. My son (7) slept with DH and my DD13 slept with me. It's a bummer, but if you want to rest comfortably at night, this is my suggestion.

We have a king bed at home, so I thought a double bed would be terrible when we stayed at POFQ last Dec. However, being in a double bed didn't bother me at all. Nobody complained.

And just last year, they put in new mattress, very comfortable. you'll sleep well

We have a queen bed at home and slept fine on the double at POFQ. The kids had no problems sleeping together in their bed. There would be limited room for an inflatable bed. It could be done probably but not necessary in my opinion.

i guess i am the lone dissenter in this conversation... at home our family is used to a king bed for mom/dad (w/each having our own blanket! we don't share well!) and a queen for ds and a full for dd, so to sleep the four of us in two full beds, is, well, miserable... for that reason, we get two rooms at hotels w/either two fulls in each or a king in one and two fulls in the other... this gives us the benefit of the extra bathroom and tv... even two queens is a tight squeeze for us (dh is 6'4, and we are both "pooh sized" as well)

my advice to the op is to either switch your ressie to a value and get two rooms or switch over to POR where you can request a trundle bed, so as to have one more sleeping space (and then i'd probably end up w/the youngest child in a bed w/me, dh getting his own, and older child on the trundle)... another option is a rollaway bed, but by the time you pay the extra ($15 or $25/night), you might as well have paid for two rooms at a value! :rolleyes1

i honestly do not know how families w/more than one child spend a week in a room w/only two full beds... we'd be incredibly miserable by the third day! pirate:

just my $.02 for what it's worth (not much these days! LOL!) :flower:

Each of you can sleep with one kid-problem solved. On vacation I always get my own bed and make DH and Ds share. I don't see why grownups would squish into a little bed when there is another bed in the room.

POFQ is BEAUTIFUL-by the way
POFQ gets my vote for "prettiest rooms at Disney"
