POFQ--which floor to request?

Looks like my mom and I will be staying here in February '06 and she doesn't want to walk up a couple flights of stairs after a long day at the parks. ;)

I'm fine with a ground floor room. In your opinion, is it better to be on a higher floor (more privacy, better view, quiet, etc.)? Just wondering how many floors each building has and are there elevators in each building?

In general, I'm looking for advice on what to request for a good room location! ;)

Any suggestions/comments?

Thanks in advance!

We had a first floor room and loved it. It is so nice to run in and out of your room. We loved the POFQ.

I agree. We had a first floor and just requested it again. There are elevators by the way if that helps your decision. Hope you like it as well as we do.

After posting my question, I realized that I could have done a search for this exact question!

I appreciate you guys responding even though this has been asked before! ;)

I am leaning towards the ground floor...like you said, it's nice to just come and go easily.

I'm going to go through and read all the past posts regarding buildings and room requests and try to narrow down our request.

I really want this to be a special trip because we are celebrating my mom's 70th birthday and she has never been to WDW before! :goodvibes

Thanks again!

Each building has 3 floors and there are elevators. I requested a 3rd floor room and got it. I thought it would give more privacy, but actually after we arrived I kind of wish we would of had a lst floor...no going up the stairs or down to the elevator (which isn't a long walk, but still a few extra minutes), just walk out the door and go. We were in building 3, very close to food court and the bus stop.
